Payments and position of SEPA payments in payment systems

The masters thesis Payments and position of SEPA payments in payment systems deals with the transition of the national payment system to SEPA payment instruments in the Czech Republic, which is coming into force this year. Banks will have to fulfil requirement of interoperability and will have to be able to proceed payments in XML form. The theoretical part defines payments by the payment form and territorial payments in the first chapter. In the 2nd chapter, the legal framework with focus on new legislation affecting the completion and implementation of the SEPA requirements is described. The following two chapters are devoted to payment systems in the Czech Republic, European Union and telecommunication network SWIFT. The 5th chapter discusses about the SEPA project, with the main emphasis on the definition of SEPA instruments. The practical part is dedicated to analysis of foreign payment fees in selected banks with a focus on individuals.
Využitie SEPA inštrumentov v Slovenskej republike

One of the key goal of European Union was create single europe payments in countries in European economic community on the base of principals of the monetary union. Therefore, agencies of the European union created project SEPA, which eases payments system in all countries participated in this project and enables to transfer cross-border payments in same conditions like domestic payments. Thesis professes to characteristic of SEPA, legislative and law standard, which regulates system SEPA. There are described SEPA instruments and institutions of this project. Thesis involves also process, institutions and instruments of SEPA in Slovakia. Practical part of thesis focuses on analysis of data obtained from created questionnaires. It contains an analysis of information, the use, value and impact of the Single European natural and legal persons of Slovakia as participants cashless payments based on a questionnaires.
SEPA and its implementation

The bachelor thesis describes the European cross-border integration, with emphasing on non-cash transactions and SEPA. It defines the basic characteristics and goals of SEPA, its organizational structure, provisions in the form of PSD, the basic objectives and the sectors involved in the operation of this project. Further on the thesis analyzes the progress of the project, its historical development up to the present time, discusses the actual payment instruments in detail, describes the migration phases and the actual course of the implementation of project in the Eurozone. The final part is dedicated to the implementation of SEPA in the in the Slovak Republic and describes the organizational structure, division of powers, the process itself and the state of implementation.
Legal regulations of cross-border payments in European Union

Project SEPA and its aplication

This thesis studies the process of cross-border payments integration with a focus on the SEPA project. Besides the characteristics of the project itself, it contains a description of the development and the current form of the European legal basis for payment services, the functioning principles of the European payments council and an analysis of SEPA payment instruments. A very important role in the SEPA initiative has been played by the banks themselves, for they embraced a common approach towards the subject. The New legal framework should become effective by 1st November 2009 through national adoption. SEPA has so far brought a new credit transfer scheme and partial changes in the cards framework within Europe.
