The bachelor's thesis "Reasons for leaving or discontinuing foster care for temporary period for fosters for temporary period in the Czech Republic" is divided into two parts - theoretical part and practical part. In the theoretical part there is a summarisation of the main information about substitute family care - its evolution, forms and division into institutional care and foster care. Further, the theoretical part is focused on foster care for temporary period. Specifically on its legislation, foster care for temporary period in chosen European countries, the process of introduction of foster care for temporary period to the Czech republic, kids in foster care for temporary period, and finally fosters for temporary period themselves. The practical part of this bachelor's thesis is focuesd on the reasons for leaving or discontinuing foster care for temporary period for fosters for temporary period in the Czech republic. The data collection was realized by questionnaire survey published on social media. The evaluation was carried out based on the analysis and comparison of collected data. For better clarity, all the collected data were processed into graphs and charts.
