The analysis of acoustic properties of innovative wood-based materials
Svojanovský, Jan ; Nop, Patrik (referee) ; Jirásek, Ondřej (advisor)
The content of this work is research of innovative wood-based materials in the acous-tic perspective. Basically, the goal is to determine the influence of the internal structure of the wood-based material on variables, which are sound speed, acoustic resistance, or acous-tic constant. In total were measured 15 samples, each one was made in a different way. Each sam-ple was weighted, and the length of its sides was measured. By using the ultra sonic timer, it was measured the time of the sound impulses, which go through the samples in all of their axes for the purpose of observation the influence the fibers on speed of sound in the materi-al. The next thing to do was to determine another magnitude, which describe acoustic of the material. All measurements were taken in room conditions (room humidity). Six of the sam-ples, which were randomly selected from those 15 samples, were measured once again after two weeks. In those two weeks were all the samples saved in air-conditioned place in which was the room humidity distinct lower. In the end all the samples were compared with each other and they were also com-pared with materials which are commonly used in production of musical instruments or acoustic components. Possible use in the music industry was assigned to each sample.
Materials handling in production of floor in Iveco Czech Republic a.s.
Hanus, Lukáš ; Šmerda, Zdeněk (referee) ; Kašpárek, Jaroslav (advisor)
This diploma project drala with the solution of manipulation with plywood for the Iveco Czech Republic a.s. bus floor production. Project considers just a manipulationby the CNC cutter. Evaulating of the recent Metod of manipulation, the suggestion of the new Metod of manipulation and the preparation of the possible variants. Evaulating of the variants and probably the suggestion of the new workplace arrangement.
Nábytkový sedací prvek s použitím lamelových, případně tvarově překližovaných prvků
Matúš, Rudolf
Rudolf Matúš: Furniture seating element with the use lamellar or shaped plywood elements. The main focus of this bachelor thesis is the design and production of a seating element according to the assignment. The first part of the thesis is devoted to the theory, topic of sesating, introduction to the materials used, furniture joints, surface finishes, ergonomics, etc. After the completion of the theoretical part, the practical part follows, which summarizes the theoretical information from the introduction of the thesis and is supplemented by testing the prototype for strength and stability.
Mobiliář pro děti do interiéru
Světlíková, Klára
The thesis focuses on the design of interior furniture for children - learning towers made of plywood, designed for the kitchen, bathroom, workshop, etc. The theoretical part of the thesis is devoted to the toddler, his development, play, general, hygienic and safety requirements for toys, learning towers, Montessori philosophy and the materials and finishes used. The practical part describes the process of designing a learning tower including market research, sketches, selection of the final design, dimensioning and construction, 3D visualization, stability calculation, material calculation. The final output is the realization of a functional prototype.
Pevnost lepených spojů obkladových panelů břízová překližka sklo
Matějovská, Lucie
The diploma thesis deals with gluing selected types of wooden materials (birch and beech plywood) with glass and two types of adhesives (Sikasil SG-20 and Soudal PU Construct). The strength of bondes splices was measured by tensile and bending test in an Instron 3365 tensile test machine. The theoretical part focused introduction of basicofbonding technology. The practical part focused made of bonding splicesand evaluation of results from tensile and bending test.
Vliv barevného odstínu pigmentové povrchové úpravy na teplotu povrchu nábytkových dílců
Plodíková, Lucie
The bachelor thesis based on experimental measurements of previously prepared samples. The samples are made of beech plywood. They are finished by pickling with various pigments and exposed to daylight in exterior. The thesis investigates influence of colour shade of pigment surface finishing on wood furniture to the physic-mechanical properties of surface finishing but mainly to the temperature of finished surface. Other properties examined are hardness, adhesion, and colour shade, degree of damage and abrasion resistance. The result of thesis is evaluation and description of achievements with the contribution for practice and new findings.
Návrh materiálu na bázi dřeva s požární odolností
Jeřábková, Lucie
Bachelor thesis compares the properties of composite materials with basalt fiber or with glass fiber. The main objective is comparison of the mechanical properties, which include fire resistance. Concretely, thesis will deal with bending properties of composite material with basalt fiber. These properties of composite material with basalt fiber will be compared with the bending properties of the composite material with glass fiber and plywood. The second part will deal with fire resistance of composite material with basalt fiber and will compare with the fire resistance plywood and composite material with glass fiber. Finally will be made a test of the surface resistant against falling bullet.

Home office
Veverková, Lenka
The content of this thesis is a design of portable home office. The theoretical part includes a historical overview of worktables development from the middle ages to the present, also trends in home office design. Before designing itself was necessary to define the concept of home office and to define the requirements for this proposed product, which also includes a detailed survey of the target group. In the next section is presentation of final design with sketches and 3D visualizations. The final design is described in material, construction and technology.
Bio-based wood adhesive derived from brewers spent grain
Muselíková, Vladislava
Brewers spent grain (BSG) is an abundant waste material from the brewing process, representing approximately 85% of total by-products generated, is rich in cellulose and non-cellulosic polysaccharides and has a strong potential to be recycled. One of the main components of the BSG is protein, which has a potential to be extracted, modified and used as an adhesive for the woodworking adhesive. This work deals with the protein extraction through alkali treatment and its subsequent modification, crosslinking with glyoxal. The crosslinked adhesive was tested through ABES method to find, that ideal content of glyoxal is 20%. Subsequent adjusted standard tests for the lap shear strength and bend strength (MOE and MOR values) were used to compare its values to commercially available PVAc adhesive. The lap shear strength results were 2,7 times lower to PVAc, the bend strength values were, on the other hand, 1,5 times higher. The PVAc was partially replaced (50 and 25%) by the protein adhesive showing that the extracted adhesive could serve as a partial replacement to lower the ecological impact of the PVAc adhesive.
