The proposal parameters of the small water reservoir in GIS environment.
Feltl, Jakub ; Ivana,, Kameníčková (referee) ; Doležal, Petr (advisor)
This report deals with rainfall-runoff modeling and small water reservoir projection with usage of modern software equipments (GIS, HEC-HMS), using maximum number of available data sources (BPEJ, LPIS, N-year rainfall gages, 3D contours …). The advantage of this method is that it is possible to predict the shape of hydrograph and flood wave volume as well. Other methods cannot offer judgment of flood wave volume and hydrograph shape as this method does. The most important thing in small water reservoir projection is the flood wave volume value, which is undervalued nowadays using wrong evaluation. This method’s advantage is variability of scenarios depending on soil surface, used agricultures, hydraulic and hydrologic parameters etc.
Study of possibilities protection against rural zone water
Matějková, Jana ; Roubcová, Ing Radka (referee) ; Milerski, Rudolf (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the first part of surface runoff and measures to combat this phenomenon. It explains what it is surface runoff, and what are the most common methods to protect against soil and surface runoff caused by water erosion on slopes. The second section paper examines the threat to the village Otaslavice to Vyškovsko rural area with water. The solution aims to use existing facilities for drain a surface water and the in capacity in relation to n-year occurence of torrential rainfall and runoff caused by them. For the valuation of drain age is used directive to calculate to the drain age of VMP and for as segment the capacity of waters equipment.
Evaluation of rainfall totals influencing erosive wash in the locality Jenín.
HOSKOVCOVÁ, Jaroslava
Erosion damage is becoming one of the major problems of landuse in the Czech Republic. Torrential rains belong to the most important factors influencing the occurrence and intenzity of water erosion. The factor of erosion effectiveness of torrential rains R expresses their influence in the universal equation used to calculate the soil wash. The factor of storm rain R is expressed as the product of total kinetic energy of rain E and it is maximum thirty-minute intensity I30. The average annual value of factor R must be calculated for concrete climatic conditions. Torrential downpours occurring in the Czech Republic within the period starting to the end of April and ending October are of decisive importance.
Runoff generation in urban environment
Píchal, Jan ; Daňhelka, Jan (advisor) ; Čekal, Radek (referee)
As the area of impervious surfaces at urban environment increases, the more rapid runoff and urban flash floods lead to frequent overflow of the sewer system. For storm water runoff prevention and mitigation, there are soakaways commonly built in newly build up areas. The soakaways volume calculation is given by ČSN 75 9010 regulation in the Czech Republic. The presented thesis verifies applicability of this regulation in selected study sites (smal basins) of projected building construction model basins, which differ with regard to their infiltration characteristics, slope, area and degree of planned urbanization. The runoff calculation was estimated by Clark's Unit Hydrograph (UH) transformation and triangular SCS UH. HEC-HMS software has been used for Clark's UH application. Triangular UH runoff calculation has been done using MS Excel environment to establish a series of equations and logical conditions. Both models' results were compared for storms with 5 years, 10 years, 100 years and theoretical maximum return period; thus also for storms with longer return period than is proposed in the regulation. The positive differences in soakaway peak overflows and peak runoffs in study sites before the start of the urbanization were compared and evaluated, together with the differences in soakaway...
