One of the chapters of this thesis focuses on the chosen realia as well as the questions for the test. The practical part contains results of testing and it describes the process of the walk. Finally, the results of this thesis are compared to the results of similar studies.

Two didactic games were primarily created to acquire knowledge of the topic of the human nervous system. The other two didactic games were created to consolidate knowledge of the topic of the nervous system and knowledge of the topic of the digestive, respiratory, circulatory and muscular systems. The verification of the created didactic games took place at a regular primary school, which is located in a South Bohemian town with a population of 1 to 5 thousand. The verification in practise was performed using pretest, posttest I. and posttest II.

Students' understanding of illustrations used in biology textbooks
HRŮZOVÁ, Marcela
The bachelor's thesis Students' understanding of illustrations used in biology textbooks deals in the first part with what a textbook is, what is its function in education and what is the purpose of the pictorial material contained in it. A partial part is the analysis of selected textbooks of natural history and biology with regard to human biology. Part of the analysis is the analysis of textbooks in terms of the occurrence of illustrations that are in them. Especially their number and type are analyzed. Another part of the bachelor thesis deals with the results of the questionnaire survey. The following discussion discusses the results and compares them with other studies. The aim of this bachelor's thesis was to use a questionnaire survey to find out whether primary school students understand illustrations in science and biology textbooks. Whether they understand them, they can orient themselves in them and whether they are understandable to them. Pupils' attitudes and opinions on illustrations, textbooks and natural sciences in general were also surveyed. A total of 103 pupils aged 14-16 years participated in the research. Each student received a questionnaire of two A4 pages. The subsequent evaluation was carried out on the basis of predetermined criteria. It was found that students like to have pictures in textbooks, most of them would welcome even more. They prefer photos to cartoons. Color illustrations seem to them more attractive. The pictures in the textbooks seem clear to them. When a teacher puts them to the test, most of them claim that it is not difficult for them to describe such a picture. However, there were not many pupils in this survey who correctly described all the pictures that were included in the questionnaire. Only less than 13 % of respondents succeeded.
How does the taught zoological system affect achieved knowledge of zoology
FORMANOVÁ, Veronika
This diploma thesis deals with the current system of vertebrates and its use during teaching in the seventh grade of primary schools. The aim of this work is to design two types of teaching materials for teachers, one on the basis of the simplified system of vertebrates (following the results of the bachelor's thesis), the other on the basis of common used system according to textbooks. As a part of determining the results in individual classes, a didactic test was constructed. The compilation of the current form of the zoological system of vertebrates and also the analysis of the selected biology textbooks for primary schools and the lower grades of grammar schools are included in the literary review of the thesis.
Nobel Prize winners and a reflection of their discoveries in natural history curriculum

A part of the thesis is the analysis of the biology curriculum in 10 chosen school education programmes for basic education and in 25 biology textbooks. Some teaching materials were made according to the results of these analyses. The materials present the way of introducing chosen Nobel price laureates and their discoveries to the pupils of lower secondary school.
Learning styles of pupils in the education of natural history
MALEČKOVÁ, Michaela
The bachelor thesis focuses on the topic of learning styles. There are described learning and some approaches to learning and strategies of learning in the review of literature. The next part of the literary part presents the most famous authors and their theories concerning learning styles of students. The following part applies on diagnostics of learning styles. In the last part there are characterised teaching methods which are used in biology and the signs that teaching methods and learning styles have in common. The practical part and results focused on learning styles of students from 8th and 9th classes from primary schools. The research data set contains 125 cases that reflect differences in learning styles depending on the pupil's gender or whether certain learning styles are related to biology. It is found whether a certain favourite area of biology (f. e. biology of human body, zoology, botany ...) is related to a learning style, whether the teaching method affects the popularity of biology, or whether a certain learning style is related to the teaching methods and forms in biology.
