Hnízdilová, M., Strejček, P. The amount of real wage and its impact on household expenditures. Bachelor thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2017. The bachelor thesis ascertains, whether the amount of household expenditure is associated with the development of real wages. The aim of the thesis is to find out the answer for the research question, whether the growth of real wage contributes to the growth of household expenditures. Expenditure on food and expenditure on other goods and services are variables which in this thesis are compared to real wages. Annual data from the years 2006_2015 are considered. In the research part an overview of household income, expenditures and household consumption is created. The development of wages, indebtedness and savings is also considered. In the practical part a correlation analysis is compiled and subsequently two regression models are created and researched, which will confirm or refute the research question. All resulting values are processed by the Gretl program.

Hnízdilová, M. Distribution of household incomes in the Czech Republic. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2019. This diploma thesis deals with the evaluation of household incomes in the Czech Republic in total and in terms of the status of the head, the number of children, age, size of the municipality, education and region. The data are obtained from the Czech Statistical Office. The aim of the thesis is to compare the incomes of individual types of households from years 2008, 2012 and 2016 in terms of selected factors. The distribution of incomes will be captured using the Lorenz curve estimate. The study of the income distribution will be supplemented by calculation of Gini index, medial and selected quantities. Furthermore, households at risk of income poverty will be identified and measures to reduce income poverty will be proposed.

This Bachelor thesis is focused on the comparison of quality of life in the Centram Bohemia region Usti region from economic aspects. This work is divided in two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part characterizes essential terms such as quality of life, ratings of quality of life, and economic indicators. The practical part describes the regions, firstly with the use of basic characteristics, and then the regions are characterized by economic indicators, which were described in the theoretical part. The quality of life was evaluated at the end of my work after the regions were compared to each other.
Mesuring of economic performance of regions

The aim of this diploma thesis is to cover the catching up with the economic level among the countries of middle and eastern Europe. More accurately it analyses GDP per capita and household income per capita as one of the key economic indicators. The thesis concretely focuses on analysis of beta and sigma convergence and cluster analysis of the mentioned regions and concurrently at the background of the analysis explains some theoretical terms from areas of economics, econometrics and statistics. The analysis was concluded in IBM SPSS programme which belongs to the most complex, user friendly and professionally often used expert tools. The data for the analysis were used from Eurostat.
Development of selected indicators of living standards

The thesis is focused on statistical analysis of development of selected indicators of living standards: GDP per capita; the amount of net cash incomes of households; the amount of income each household types; average salary and retirement pension; the amount of net cash expenditure on food and non-alcoholic beverages and the amount of net cash expenditure on housing, water, energy and fuel in the period from 2000 to 2014. The theoretical part explains the important concepts related to the living of the population and households. In the practical part of the study was to help elementary characteristics of time series found that the development of selected indicators can be described as a growing trend. During the evaluation of development are also discussed factors influencing the indicators. For each indicator was subsequently selected individual function, which is to describe the development seemed most appropriate. The forecasts of possible future development of selected indicators of living standards showed that despite sporadic declines in their value will increase in 2015.

The task of my diploma thesis which I wrote on the topic: The risk of poverty in Czech Republic, is to search for typical factors that can be considered as "risky" due to their impact to households income. The work is mainly focused on analysis of the situation in the Czech republic, compared to other member countries of the European Union. I focused in bigger detail for selected factors, such as the progress of the gross domestic product, inflation, unemployment, health status of population, education, risk of households from the view of the monetar poverty, material deprivation or social exclusion

The Bachelor thesis is focused on standards of life and factors affecting the living standards of Czech and Slovak consumers. In the theoretical section are explained the concepts related to living standards, a consumer, and his behavior. The practi-cal part is divided into two parts. The first part examines the standard of living objectively determined by indicators such as GDP, household income, unemployment, inflation and alternative indicators. The main source comes from secondary data published on the websites of the Eurostat and the Czech and Slovak Statistical Office. In addition to these indicators, it is necessary to include other factors affecting the standard of living, in particular the subjective opinion of inhabitants. The second part of the thesis is aimed at subjective views of consumers of the Czech and Slovak Republics, whose data are collected through a questionnaire survey. Finally, both parts are compared and acquired results are used to understand the reasons for such development and recommendations are designed.
Mixture distributions

Object of this thesis is to construct a mixture model of earnings of the Czech households. In first part are described characteristics of mixtures of statistical distributions with the focus on the mixtures of normal distibutions. In practical part of this thesis are constructed models with parameters extimations based on the data from EU-SILC. Models made by graphical method, EM algorithm and method of maximum likelihood. The quality of models is measured by Akaike information criterion.
Evaluation of household income, depending on his rank of head

The thesis deals with the comparison and assessment of the dependence of Czech Republic household income on the job held by the head of a household. It also deals with determining the poverty line and the subsequent identification of households that are below this line. The source of data was the Survey on Income and Living Conditions (SILC) carried out by the Czech Statistical Office for the years 2008 and 2010. Households were divided into groups according to the occupation of the head of the household. Net yearly income per consumption unit and the gross yearly income of households were monitored during the assessment of income. Household income during both periods is characterised by high kurtosis and is skewed to the right. There exists the premise that there are similarities with log-normal distribution.
Financial Situation of Households

The financial situations of households are among the key factors influencing the market in the country. This thesis focuses on analyzing and evaluating the potential and financial position of Czech and Slovak households. It deals mainly with the analysis of data from the years 2004 to 2008, which is the period of the entrance of Slovakia and the Czech Republic into the European Union. The theoretical section describes events in particular, the economic and financial situation of households in those two countries during the observed years. The practical process uses different types of statistical methods and analysis to identify the financial situation in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, as well as identify the differences between them. The conclusion summarizes the findings and observations of the research findings, which are implemented in the practical section.
