Handset based computer control
Kovář, Jan ; Kouřil, Jiří (referee) ; Polívka, Michal (advisor)
The master's thesis is focused on Java based solution of remote PC control using a mobile phone. Application is made up of client and server, which are communicating via Bluetooth interface. The client represents a mobile application (MIDlet) and commands sent to the server. Server, run on a computer (with any operating system), read these orders and evaluate their algorithms to control the PC. The issue of the draft text is divided into two units, each of them describes just one part of the application. The client describes its functionality. It is also fully examines the structure of mobile application programmed in Java ME, together with the most important methods of this code. Text dealing with the server part describes its activities as well as individual options utilization. It describes the structure of the server application which is programmed in Java SE. There are also a description of the most important methods of the Java SE code. This thesis gives the results of both components of the application that allow to remotely control the computer and especially the presentation. The application was properly debugged and tested, and form a functional multiplatform software.
Hand gesticulation recognition in image
Mráz, Stanislav ; Petyovský, Petr (referee) ; Horák, Karel (advisor)
This master’s thesis is dealing with recognition of an easy static gestures in order to computer controlling. First part of this work is attended to the theoretical review of methods used to hand segmentation from the image. Next methods for hang gesture classification are described. The second part of this work is devoted to choice of suitable method for hand segmentation based on skin color and movement. Methods for hand gesture classification are described in next part. Last part of this work is devoted to description of proposed system.
PC control via eyes
Neuwirth, Tomáš ; Číp, Pavel (referee) ; Horák, Karel (advisor)
The presented master thesis deals with the evaluation of the position of the iris compared with surroundings of the eye. This technique is supposed to be use for computer control. The created software works in real-time mode, the pictures are taken with an ordinary webcam. The first part of the work presents basic algorithms used in computer vision for edit of images. The following part is focused on abilities of methods to find the face, eyes and to detect the iris. The detection and the subsequent separation of the face is based on the recognition of skin colour in the YCbCr color space. The position of eye is then searched in the face by Haar-like features. The darkest part of the eye is found by horizontal projection from surroundings and the seed point is started from this place. From the area which is filled by the seed method (Flood Fill) and which shows the iris, the cursor movement is controlled by obtained x and y position.
