Using gamification in the outdoors

Title: Gamification and its use in nature Aim: The aim of the bachelor thesis is to create a comprehensive overview of gamification and to describe individual gamification elements in nature. Literature review: I have used the method of document analysis in the literature review. Academic texts available on the Web of Science, ResearchGate, Scopus and ScienceDirect platforms and those dealing with the topic have been the sources for the analysis. The gathered information has been systematically organized into a concise survey. Discussion and conclusion: Gamification is an interesting supporting element in many service areas and professions. It applies the fun concept of games to seemingly ordinary activities. The thesis has described gamification elements, which can be used in outdoor education programmes, and discusses positive and negative impacts on an individual. Based on the literature review and my own experience, we believe that the use of gamification in nature has a rather positive impact on human behavior.
