The View of Personal Assistants on Personal Assistance to People with ASD

This bachelor thesis discusses the matter of relationship between personal assistants and clients with ASD. The theoretical section further describes key concepts of thesis, such as the definition of autism spectrum disorder, the characteristics of persons with ASD, personal assistants and the nature of their activities, types of personal assistance and other social services, which aim to compensate for the reduced self-sufficiency of persons with ASD. The empirical part uses a qualitative research strategy, building on data collected through interviews with personal assistants. The aim of the empirical part is to elucidate the relationship between the personal assistant and the client.
