Educational PocketQube Satellite Demonstrator
Veverka, Jiří ; Povalač, Aleš ; Jaššo, Kamil
This paper presents the design of a 2P (50×50×50mm) PocketQube satellite which will be used in STEM laboratory classes. The proposed system was designed with emphasis on modularity, ease of replacement using commercial off-the-shelf components, and easy understanding of the subsystems one can find in a satellite of this type. It also encourages students to come up with their own ideas and modules. The satellite itself is made out of four main modules: On-Board Computer, Communication module, Electric Power System module, and Payload module. These four modules are encapsulated in a structure made entirely out of PCBs and together form the basis of the satellite.
On-board computer for older car
Knápek, Mojmír ; Kubíček, Michal (referee) ; Pospíšil, Martin (advisor)
A thesis is about designing a device, which can add to older car some functions, which are now common like central locking, car-alarm, immobiliser and automatic turning lights on. There will be also solved sensors of input signals, their connecting to the microcontroller and ways to show outputs. In the end of thesis will be designed schematic and board.
Racing Motorcycle On-Board Computer
Dokulil, Marek ; Šimek, Václav (referee) ; Crha, Adam (advisor)
The bachelor work is divided into three main sections. The first section deals with the description of the onboard computers available on the market that can be used on a racing motorcycle. The second part of this work focuses on the possibility of scanning speed engines, primarily gasoline, where the principles are described. In the third part there is described the design of the onboard computer and its construction. After reading the third part, the reader should be able to construct his/her own onboard computer according to that design.
Universal Onboard Automotive Computer
Novohradský, Petr ; Crha, Adam (referee) ; Šimek, Václav (advisor)
This work includes the complete design of a prototype embedded system for displaying information from a vehicle. ELM327 chip is described and its basic use. Work also describes the development of the diagnostic socket for  vehicles in European countries. Also contains a complete description of developing schematic, printed circuit board and firmware implementation. The thesis describes the use of realtime operating system in embedded system.
Infotainment unit for car
Musil, Roman ; Burian, František (referee) ; Ligocki, Adam (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to design device which extended functionalities of on-board computer. The thesis first deals research of available single board computers and then selecting the appropriate touch screen, then analyzing the communication protocol which is used to communication between devices. Further, the thesis deals design architecture of system, creating a graphic interface and archiving telemetry data. Subsequently, deals creation of an interface that allows the visualization of archived data on a desktop computer. And finally, the implementation of online vehicle monitoring through the GSM module. The conclusion summarizes obtained information and the results achieved.
Design of the on-board system for a motorcycle
Ševčík, Jan ; Benešl, Lukáš (referee) ; Juráň, Radovan (advisor)
This work deals with the design and construction of an on-board computer for a vintage Jawa motorcycle. The design combines measuring sensors of our own design and those commonly available on the market, a main control board of our own design and assembly without interfering with the structure of the motorcycle. The system is considered for mounting on the Jawa 250/592 motorcycle, with some parts from other motorcycles, allowing for easier fitting. ESP32 from Espresiff is used as a microcontroller, which is placed in the tank of the motorcycle and displays the measured data on the LCD display. The system also allows you to control the entire motorcycle, such as enabling starting or turning on the lights
