Schools of rural renewal

Presented diploma paper defines the phenomenon of school of rural renewal through four case studies that illustrate different approaches to this institution, and through their comparison. The empirical research is based on a theory development including definition of key words; rural areas, rural problems and rural renewal being among them. Analyzing interviews with the schools' representatives together with documentation study lead to conducting four examples of schools of rural renewal presenting four strategies for rural renewal. Despite having different approaches to the same topic, they correspond in several characteristics: they are a municipality project, they share the common idea of introducing further education to the regional politics and the target group is defined as the municipality officers. Major development of the phenomenon of schools of rural renewal was experienced in 1990's, when they meant a large contribution to the rural stakeholders' acquirements and capacity building. Rural renewal - a small village example

This thesis, created under the topic of rural renewal, illustrates the rural area and its renewal topic on the example of a small village, specifically East Bohemian village Kosice. To do so it firstly defines a theoretical platform consisting of core concepts in rural areas such as country, village, municipality and influencing entities. The second part of this thesis contains theoretical studies focusing on rural development and renewal with the definition of development support instruments, levels and entities; it also describes potentials and summarizes factors and trends affecting rural life, including migration trends.
The first practical part studies and analyzes Kosice, its development over time and current situation which enables inclusion of the village among the rural ones and determination of the research basis. The actual research is based on acquired theoretical and practical knowledge. To consider local specifics a qualitative research consisting of an interview with a mayor is carried out, followed by a quantitative research through questionnaire survey to gain the residents´ perspective on the current development and the possible future development of the village. The results are processed using statistical methods and used to propose recommendations to the village for its future activities according to the obtained opinion of its population.

The Program of restoration of village Slavče (near Trhové Sviny)

This bachelor?s thesis is engaged in rural development specifically to the Program of restoration of village Slavče (near Trhové Sviny). This program is based on the field research, a questionnaire survey among residents and local experts and mainly deals with the analysis existing sources and documents. The bachelor?s thesis is devided into several parts. The introductory part of the thesis focused on geographical characteristics of Slavče territory, the following section includes the literature and also territorial and local development documents, that deal with the given topic and area. The practical part of the work projects the Program of restoration of village Slavče devided into several development spheres.

Recovery program of rural municipality Miličín (district Benešov)

This bachelor thesis deals with the recovery program of rural municipality, which is situated in the district Benešov ? municipality Miličín. In the introductory chapter is given an analysis of literature on rural development and directing of it. Attention is also devoted to materials of regional and territorial development processed for addressing municipality and region. After come a characteristic of the municipality, its physiographical units and components of human geography. The main point of this work is the questioning of citizens and municipality leaders on issues of municipality development and then evaluation of this questioning. Opinions of citizens and municipality leaders are used to create improvement proposal of actions recovery program.

POSSIBILITY OF TERRITORIAL AND LOCAL DEVELOPMENT AT THE AREA OF STARÉ HOBZÍ VILLAGE

The thesis is looking into development of Staré Hobzí village, which is consisted of five country residences (Staré Hobzí, Nové Hobzí, Vnorovice, Nové Dvory, Janov), specifically into drawing up a proposal of Village Renewal Programme. The introduction includes brief characteristic of the village environment in relation to territorial and local development, as well as analysis of the village literature and development materials. In the next part it gathers suggestions for the next development of the country residences, which were gained from the development materials, conversation with local experts, as well as from asking local inhabitants (extensive survey) and from personal terrain research of the residences and surrounding territory. The thesis proceeds to a proposal of structured system of activities of the Staré Hobzí Village Renewal Programme, which includes activities that support cultural and sports life, entrepreneurship, maintenance and reconstruction of buildings and public areas, completion of the technical infrastructure, and supporting the village cooperation with other villages.

Village Recovery Program Zubčice, Český Krumlov District

Bachelors labour is dealing with the development of countryside. It is dealing with wide and complex Recovery program of village Zubčice (situated near Český Krumlov). The program is based on analysis of available data, answer sheets that were given to local inhabitants, interviews with experts and own terrain research. Teoretical part is dealing with physic- geographical and social- geographical landscape characteristic. The labour analyzes literature of countryside recovery and other sources providing information to concrete land. In part that solves concrete questions and problems is analysis of questionaire research and scheduled interviews that suggests certain really solvable Recovery program of village Zubčice. Results of the analysis can be applicated here and possible suggestions resulting from questionaire research on representative sample of inhabitants, scheduled interviews with experts and own terrain research.

Revitalisation programme of the municipality Nebahovy (near Prachatice)

The presented bachelor work is attended to a rural development, more concretely to an elaboration of the widely and complexly conceived Revitalisation programme of the municipality Nebahovy (near Prachatice) that is based on an analysis of existing data, on a field survey and questioning of experts and local inhabitants. A theoretical part of this work is concentrated on a territory characterization of the municipality of Nebahovy and on the literature concerning the solved territory and the rural development in general. The structured and solvable Revitalisation programme of the municipality is proposed in the practical part the work. The themes incurred from the field survey, from the questionnaire research among the local inhabitants and from the controlled interviews with the experts represented an important role here. To contribute to the development of the solved territory is the aim of this work.
