Implementation of the Cross-Curricular Subject Environmental Education in the School Subject Art Greenery as a city oasis
Zálešáková, Ester ; Pfeiffer, Jan (advisor) ; Sedlák, Michal (referee)
The goal of this diploma thesis is to find a way to implement the cross-cutting topic Environmental Education into the Art Education subject through an art project called Greenery as an Oasis of the City. And to find out whether it is therefore possible to lead pupils of two primary school classes to the principles presented by Environmental Education through an art project. The art project was based on the personal experience of the students gained during a few-hour stay in a selected city park and art activities that made this stay special and contributed to a more perceptive view of the environment in which the students moved. To verify the results achieved, qualitative research methods were used in the form of a structured interview with five randomly selected pupils from both classes. The students' answers showed that even through an art project, it is possible to strengthen the students' positive relationship with nature and the environment and contribute to the acquisition of internal motivation for a respectful and sustainable approach to nature. At the same time, it emerged from the pupils' answers and reactions that the overall benefit from the project for each pupil depended on the approach they took to the project, to what extent they concentrated on individual activities and to what...
Connectivity / Democratic City_Radnice pro Staré Brno
Macanová, Tereza ; Vymětal, Bedřich (referee) ; Palaščak, Michal (advisor)
The Bachelor thesis deals with the design of a standalone city hall building for Staré Brno on Mendel Square. The work takes into account the reconstruction of the square according to the winning urban design proposal. The design addresses the continuity of the building and visual connection with the surroundings, which influences the shape of the building. The design of the square and the city hall building gives great emphasis on greenery, which is neglected in the current state. Connectivity, as the main theme, creates the resulting appearance of the building. The goal of this work is to connect city hall using greenery. There is an intermingling of multiple functions, mainly civil amenities, city hall administration, and housing.

The main aim of the project is to create an artistic and social centre of the city with the function of artistic education of the inhabitants. The valuable location of the confluence naturally offers the possibility of recreation, the design reinforces this value by its form, opening up to it as much as possible, while at the same time separating urban spaces disturbing the concept of a quiet oasis.
Delivery injuries and maternal age
Faltová, Anna ; Dvořák, Jan (advisor) ; Přáda, Jan (referee)
The bachelor's thesis aim was to find out whether older age of mother during labour could be a potential risk factor for birth injuries. Bachelor thesis has two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part describes the problematics of birth injuries and summarizes several foreign studies, which consider the age of mother as a risk factor for some birth injuries. The hypothesis was that older age is a risk factor for birth injuries. The aim of the practical part was to find whether the hypothesis is correct or not. The hypothesis was tested by comparing the incidence of different birth injuries between four groups of women settled by age (18-25 years, 26-30 years, 31-35 years, >35 years). In most cases the lowest number of injuries were in the youngest group (18-25 years), but the differences between groups were not statistically significant. Due to the small sample of women, I have analysed, the hypothesis could not be conclusively confirmed, but also conclusively disproved. Key words: delivery injuries, maternal age, vaginal delivery, pelvic floor, levator avulsion, pelvic floor dysfunction, OASI
Dynamics of the settlement pattern in the microregion of Zarabag (southern Uzbekistan) on the basis of archaeological sources
Augustinová, Anna ; Stančo, Ladislav (advisor) ; Frank Danielisová, Alžběta (referee)
15 Abstract The following thesis summarizes results of the archaeological research in the microregion of the Zarabag Oasis in the South Uzbekistan. The non-destructive research focused on the collection and evaluation of the archaeological data that allow to reconstruct the settlement dynamics in the oasis during the ages. Previously, there was not archaeological evidence available in the region. The fieldwork in the oasis and its closest surroundings was conducted by way of extensive surface survey (global coverage of the oasis focused on the detection of archaeological evidence), and intensive one (systematic surface survey on a closely defined area). The extensive survey proved to be more suitable for the studied environment in terms of the quality and quantity of the collected archaeological data. One part of the survey consisted in detection of the water sources (springs, surface canals and even remains of the karez systems). The basic units of extensive survey were represented by polygons (gardens, fields, cemeteries, tepas etc.), to which the finds collected during the research were attributed. Their dating in the combination with their spatial distribution allowed then to reconstruct the settlement processes and dynamics in the microregion of the oasis. One part of the research deals also with the...
