The role of nurses in stomatosurgical outpatient department during implantology
HYŤHOVÁ, Anežka
The aim of my bachelor's work is to chart nurses' work in the stomatological surgery during the implantology and to find out how the education of the patient undergoing the dental implantation looks. The theoretical part of this work deals with details of the anatomy of the oral cavity to have a better notion of implantation. Further, this part focuses on the history regarding the world as well as the Czech Republic. It explains what an implant is and how it is put. The empirical part of my work was created by means of the qualitative research. The data were collected with the method using a half-structured interview. The base of this interview was made with twenty-four questions which had been prepared before. The first three questions were related to identification data of informants, following questions dealt with the topic of the work. In necessary cases, the interviews were supplemented by additional questions. The questions were conceived so that they could reveal the facts being associated with nurses' work during the implantology and the patient's education. They focused on preoperative, interoperative and postoperative care. The research group consisted of five nurses working in different surgeries. Afterwards, the interview was analyzed by using the open-coding method and the text-colouring technique. Next, the results of the research were divided to cathegories and subcathegories. These cathegories describe particular parts of nurses' work during the performance from the beginning to the end. The results show that nurses use the same procedures for the implantation of a dental implant.
The influence of the burnout syndrome on the sexuality of non medical health care female workers in emergency care setting through internet surveys
Balíková, Eliška ; Dynáková, Šárka (advisor) ; Kulhavá, Miluše (referee)
(v AJ) Introduction to Issue: The examined issue of the thesis is the influence of burnout and its development on the sexuality of women in health care in emergency care. Since there are a few nurses working in hospital facilities, I think they are in great danger of burnout. Therefore, it is necessary to investigate this issue and discover possible solutions to avoid burnout. The objective of the thesis is to find out whether burnout syndrome and its development influence the sexuality of non-medical health workers. Methodology: The research was conducted by means of a quantitative method using the online questionnaire on the website Ošetřovatelství.info. The data were collected using two questionnaires, the first focused on burnout (the Czech version of the Shirom and Melamed scale) and the second, which investigated the sexual function of the respondents (KRATOCHVÍL, Stanislav. Treatment of Sexual Dysfunctions). All nurses and female paramedics working in intensive care were included in the research sample. Results: The results were processed in Microsoft Excel and the resulting averages in each region were compared with one another. The total research sample is 110 nurses and female medical rescuers. The actual data confirm the effect of burnout on the sexuality of women working in intensive...

Nursing care provided to clients of the Jewish religion in the Czech Republic and Austria
VEJVALKOVÁ, Eva
The main aim of the thesis was to find out the possibilities of providing nursing care to Jewish clients in CZ and Austria, to make a comparison of providing nursing care in both countries and also to find out knowledge of nurses concerning the care of clients with Jewish religion. We put four research questions and this: What are the specifics of nursing care of clients with Jewish religion? What are the differences in the care of clients with Jewish religion between the Czech Republic and Austria? What kind of possibilities of nursing care have in their disposal clients with Jewish religion in the Czech Republic and in Austria? What knowledge have sisters caring for a client with Jewish religion? Qualitative investigation was carried out. It had a form of a personalized non-standardized interview and an analysis of Internet sources. Research sample consisted of 4 nurses from the Czech Republic and Austria. Resource analysis was carried out from the website. Interviews were recorded on a tape recorder and afterwards were overwritten. Interviews with Austrian colleagues were translated in advance. Interviews constitute the basis from which categorization was created, by using the framework of analysis, which was also illustrated by diagrams. The source analysis together with an interview with a nurse from the Austrian institution was illustrated in the diagram too. From the results it is clear that all nurses from the Czech Republic as well as from Austria are aware of the specifics of nursing care of a Jewish client. Differences of the care of clients with Jewish religion between the Czech Republic and Austria are dependent primarily on the knowledge of nurses. Austrian sisters proved that their knowledge is deeper, more accurate and more specific, which is reflected on nursing care. Czech nurses have in comparison with Austrian ones just basic knowledge. This fact can´t cover the nursing care in holistic approach. he results indicate that institutions for clients with Jewish religion are both in the Czech Republic and in Austria. The Austrian one has in comparison to the Czech one a long tradition and many times larger capacity. It should be noted that in the Austrian institution not only clients with Jewish religion are hospitalized. The observance of Jewish traditions and customs is a matter of course in both institutions. Surprisingly, despite the multicultural nursing in the study plan, which the Austrian nurses did not attended, their knowledge was a lot better than of their Czech colleagues. Nowadays a holistic approach is required and without such knowledge it cannot be fulfilled appropriately. This thesis should point out at the necessity of nurses´ education in the multicultural nursing issues.

KOLÁŘOVÁ, Libuše
Current rapid development medical science is already at such level that its aim is to meet need of patients in maximum possible extend and there are significant achievements in modern medical treatment. It does not promise full recovery, however quality of patients life may improve earlier or acute problems can be eliminated on time thanks to early diagnostics, well chosen treatment or early medical action and last but not least approach of entire attending medical staff and professional attitude of a nurse, who is an essential part of complex care, since he/she is often the first one in contact with patients, can recognize a problem and make sure it will be looked at.
