Parameters Influencing Load Distribution Dynamics in Piled Raft Foundations
Zarazvand, Bahman ; Frankovska, Jana
In regions with complex soil conditions, the piled raft foundation is vital for tall structures. This design mitigates settlement issues and strengthens the foundation. The challenge lies in understanding the load interaction between the raft, piles, and soil. Our study uses a numerical method to study these piled raft systems, focusing on parameters like pile count, diameter, spacing, and slenderness in sandy clay soil. Our findings, showcased via 2D contours, enhance understanding of load-sharing mechanics.
Numerical Modelling of Grate Combustion
V rámci práce byl vyvinut jednorozměrný nestacionární model spalování v experimentálním reaktoru a implementován do počítačového programu GRATECAL 1.3 včetně grafického uživatelského rozhraní.

The thesis deals with possibilities of numerical modelling of an overflow over selected types of auxiliary spillways and then the possibilities are verified in particular localities. In thesis, there is carried out the determination of capacity of selected spillways by using several methods: the calculation of the overflow equation, one-dimensional and two-dimensional numerical models and physical model. The author created parametric analysis to each single method. Parametric analysis represent various hydraulic conditions. Subsequently, there is possible to express the effect of parametric analysis. The author makes a comparison of water levels received by mentioned methods set out under the specific hydraulic conditions by calibration of each model with the physical model. Finally, author recommends values of all coefficients which have an impact on results of numerical modelling of the flow over selected types of weirs mostly using like auxiliary spillways.

Burešová, Erika ; Sládek, Roman (referee) ; Kriška-Dunajský, Michal (advisor)
The thesis deals with the issue of simulation of treated wastewater irrigation by the HYDRUS 2D software. The first part of the thesis is designed as a literary research of academic information and knowledge. It aims at introducing the issue of treated wastewater utilization for the purpose of the irrigation with an emphasis on the Czech Republic. The following is an overview of important hydropedological characteristics of soils, the theoretical basis of numerical modeling of movement and transport of solutes in soil and the use of HYDRUS 2D software. The practical part is based on theoretical knowledge and demonstrates the creating process of mathematical model in program HYDRUS 2D, simulating the transport of input pollution in the soil profile. Wastewater used for irrigation was treated using a system of mechanical pretreatment and horizontal filters planted with macrophytes situated on a CW Drazovce. This work describes the calibration and subsequent application of calibrated models for monitored pollution parameters NH4+-N, P-PO4-3 and COD.
Mining and access shaft of the pilot adit with extended launch chamber
Kuhajdik, Adam ; Horák, Vlastimil (referee) ; Horák, Vladislav (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the design of a mining and access shaft with an extended launch chamber for the Vinohrady exploration adit in Brno. The requirements to be met by this underground work are defined. Based on an analysis of the applicable shaft sinking methods, two implementation procedures have been proposed. The combination of a drilled pile wall with extensive use of jet grouting appears to be preferable. This procedure is further elaborated in 2D and 3D models with static design assessment of the different structural parts and phases. The work further discusses displacements in the modelled environment and displacements on the structure. The static design of the shaft is complemented by a safety analysis of the embryo face of the exploration adit. A bill of quantities of the selected technical solution is also included in this work. The work with numerical models includes a comparison of the results of 2D and 3D models.
