Relationship between Stock Returns and Net Income: Evidence from U.S. Market

It is important to know if earnings variables influence stock returns. This is important not just for investors who want to know what drives stock returns, but also for the overall economy as stock returns and stock markets are also considered to be significant indicators of its performance. Many studies were conducted in the past but with inconclusive results. The aim of the thesis is to examine the relationship between net income and stock returns using two approaches, namely panel data model and multiple linear regression. We utilize a dataset of companies selected from the S&P500 Index. We also analyse possible heterogeneity in cross section and time. Moreover, we incorporate additional factors which have been proven to have significant explanation power for stock returns. Our findings from the panel data estimation suggest that there is no relationship between scaled net income and stock returns. We find there are random effects present between the companies and three structural breaks in time. Furthermore, we explore the significance of the consumer sentiment index and the percentage change in the book value per share variables in the panel estimation. Bachelor thesis aims to point out the fact that the effective taxation of personal income from employment does not match the given rate of 15 %, but in reality, at different levels of gross income vary significantly. Theoretical part of this thesis combine findings from the Labour Code and the Income Tax Act, which create a brief but concise basis for the practical part, which point out the differences in taxation on the basis of calculations. The reason for this difference, as it will be explained in the bachelor thesis, are non-taxable part of tax base, tax allowance and child tax credit. The thesis also describes the conditions which are necessary to fulfil for the utilization of these tax "relief".
The effect of the tax and insurance system on individuals and companies deciding between employment and business

The aim of the work is to compare taxation of employees and entrepreneurs in the current tax and insurance system, and according to the proposals related to the establishment of one of the recovery point. The first part describes the current settings of taxation employees and businessmen, the second part deals with the characteristics of ongoing reforms and individual changes, which relate to the employees and entrepreneurs. The third part of the work shows a practical impact by calculating the total annual net income of employees and entrepreneurs and the tax burden, the resulting differences are compared, the difference between employees and entrepreneurs as a result of the new legislation will change.

Consequently it targets the increase and decrease of basic capital including examples for understanding of posting these problems. The next part of this Bachelor thesis presents capital funds and their using like payment of a loss of company. Next is part about net income and its utilization. This part includes two judicatives of Supreme Court. At the end of this Bachelor thesis is mentioned example from practices about redemption of outbound stockholder and the following effect of this departure on the company.
