Design of Bed for Anesthesiology and Resuscitation Hospital Department
Andrášová, Lenka ; Buganská, Tamara (referee) ; Rubínová, Dana (advisor)
The thesis focuses on analysis and design of a special hospital bed designed for the department of anesthesiology and resuscitation. The design was based on the rules set by the ČSN EN 60601-2-52 norm. The bed is adjusted for the use at the department of anesthesiology and resuscitation not only with its look but also with its functions. The design emphasizes the ergonomics of the bed, safety and the needs of the patient as well as of the staff and also an easy maintenance of the bed. Some of the main innovative elements are: basal stimulation system placed directly in the bed, used colors, more infusion-rack holders or a headboard fixed to the construction of the bed if not needed. The bed was designed especially to provide more comfort to the patient.
The importance of spirituality while being in hospital care.
ŠIMANOVÁ, Barbora
The topic of the Thesis for my Bachelor degree is: "The importance of spirituality at the hospital bedside". The conception of the Theses is theory- empirical. The theoretical part is focused on the term of spirituality in general, the impact of psychology on the development of spirituality and finally on the spirituality at the bedside itself. The practical/research part was handled in a form of qualitative research. The aim was to map the significance of spirituality at the bedside. There were formulated research questions: 1. How important the spirituality at the hospital bedside is? 2. What is the impact of the hospitalisation on patient spirituality? 3. How the patient spirituality is supported? The data collection was performed in a form of semi-structured interviews with patients in four health facilities. There were altogether fourteen participants in th study. The research was carried out during the June 2018 and was terminated at the point of saturation of information. The research is divided into 3 main categories, which were further divided into sub-categories, areas and codes. Spirituality is an integral part of all people. Developing of this area moves people to their aims. At present is about spirituality speaking more and more. However public ignorance is still high and few patients use spiritual services. The results published in these Theses may provide a glimpse into spiritual needs of clients in hospital care for students of different healthcare fields and help them in performing their job. The output of this Bachelor thesis is an informtion leaflet, which should be circulated among professional and lay public.
The dignity of human life in a hospital bed
BLAŽKOVÁ, Martina
Aim of the thesis An aim was set for the survey: To map human life dignity in hospital bed. Methods of reaching the aim The aim was reached through qualitative and quantitative questionnaire construction. In the qualitative part of the research construction, a half structured interview was applied. Ten general nurses were questioned in the Subsequent Care Department and the same number of informants in the Internal Department. The interviews were coded by "pencil and paper" method. In the quantitative questionnaire construction, non-standardized questionnaires were applied. These questionnaires were printed. The respondents were patients hospitalized in the Subsequent Care Department and patients in the Internal Department. For statistical verification of hypotheses, Chi-squared Test was applied. Scientific contributions of the thesis Respecting human dignity or dignified approach to patients in hospital facilities is essential part of nursing care. Medical personnel should have basic theoretical knowledge that enable them to respect human dignity in its practical sense. This thesis is suitable as a motivating material especially for nurses, who should bring the patients comfort without a feeling of undignified dealing. Furthemore, it can be used as informative material for the public, especially for patients, or can be presented at special seminars. Gained knowledge, conclusion Based on qualitative questionnaire construction it appears that general nurses have knowledge of dignified approach towards patients. From quantitative survey is obvious that dignity of patients in the Subsequent Care Department as well in Internal Department is respected satisfactorily, however there are some flaws which concern for example suitable introduction of the personnel or lack of information before the medical service or during it.

The Concept of Optimalization of Hospital Bed Fund in the Vysočina Region
Mlčák, Jan ; Lešetický, Ondřej (advisor) ; Dostál, Leoš (referee)
Thesis concentrates on theory and practical issues regarding hospital bed fund. In its theoretical part, the thesis describes reasons that lead to optimalization of hospital bed fund and methods used for calculation of suitable amount of hospital beds. In its practical part it focuses on a concept proposal of a hospital bed fund optimalization in the Vysočina region while calculating a minimal amount of hospital beds needed using deterministic methods arising from empiric formulas. This concept is then compared to already existing concept created by General Healthcare Insurance Company of the Czech Republic (in Czech: Vseobecna Zdravotni Pojistovna).
