This work contains basic knowledge about comparators and its design in the CMOS technology. The first chapter deals with a wide use of a comparator, its charakteristice and the CMOS technology that is used to produce the transistors for the implementation of comparators. In the two following chapters there are examples of connexion of comparators, the design of the two-stage open loop comparator and improving of its charakteristic. The preamplifier and its application in high-speed Latchs comparators are introduced in the next chapter. The design of the comparator are introduced inthe next chapter.
