"I, take you, to be my husband/wife" - Reflection of marriage and family in the chosen Roman Catholic surroundings

This diploma thesis deals with marriage and family in the chosen Roman Catholic surroundings. The aim of ethnographic research was to find out how the Roman Catholic faith affects life experiences of believers, which means, how is marriage in Christian constructed according to actors of my reasearch and what other important themes are emphasized by ecclesiastical authority. I was also focused, if there are in this construction of marriage and family some social inequalities or gender streotypes present. For the purpose of this thesis, I realized a participatory observation on premarital preparation, interviews with three preachers, an analysis of two books about marriage and two significant ecclesiastical - pastoral documents. In the theoretical part, I define basic notions and concepts connected to the research theme. In the second part of the thesis, I turn to research method, empirical data and its analysis and interpretation. Homosexuality and the Catholic Church Teaching

Homosexuality and Teaching of the Catholic Church is a critical analysis of homosexuality as an anthropological phenomenon examined from dogmatic and theological as well as ethical perspective laid down in the Catholic teaching and reviewed in the context of the Apostolic Exhortation on Love in the Family, Amoris laetitia. It confronts particular anthropological approaches towards theoretical and practical problems concerning homosexual orientation with the emphasis put on their compatibility with the Catholic moral doctrine. Searching for a conform personally accepted and positive integration of homosexuality perceived as irregular and difficult situation according to the Christian understanding of integral personal and spiritual growth in relation to a man practicing his Catholic faith is the main task of this diploma thesis.
Man and Woman: Couples in Nathaniel Hawthorne's Twice-Told Tales

The aim of this thesis is to focus on the relationships between men and women in Nathaniel Hawthorne's Twice-Told Tales. Every couple is presented with a problem which has to be solved or an obstacle that must be overcome. The characters are in various stages of their relationships and they vary in their age, too. Therefore the thesis is divided into four main parts regarding the period the characters represent, that is engagement, wedding day, marriage and the period of mourning. Every period is represented by two couples that are analysed and compared. The conclusion is an attempt to present the principles that seem to emerge from the comparison.
Partnership Infidelity and it´s Psychological Consequensces.

The work deals with partnership infidelity. Theoretical part is mainly concerned with reasons of origin and types of infidelity, it´s psychological impact, typology of representatives of partnership infidelity and man and woman partnership expectations. One chapter deals with DNA test, commonly used in paternity tests. Practical part is based on research, provides the basis for evaluation of proposed objectives. Research offers the informations about people´s attitudes and tolerance to infidelity and rank of values, prefered in their partnership.
