Medical standing devices

This bachelor‘s thesis deals with patient verticalization and medical standing devices, which we use for this purpose. These findings are particularly important for rehabilitation and nursing care and also for the development of new standing devices. The bachelor‘s thesis describes the basic con¬cepts of human motor skills, the effect of changing position on the human organism, an overview of medical standing devices and their comparison. Thesis deals with comparison of the technical pa¬rameters of two standing devices more closely, standing device BALANCE Trainer and STOJ. The final part is devoted to measuring blood pressure using the noninvasive, continuous method of measuring at a group of wheelchair users during verticalization. I created a program with a graphical interface which allows measured data to load, display and measure, in numerical compu-ting environment MATLAB (version 7.9.0-R2009B). The results were statistically tested in the same numerical computing environment.

Title: The evaluation of gross motor function and coordination in primary school children Defining the issue: The physical activity and sport are highly discussed topics in current time. The physical activity itself has a positive effect on our body in many ways, on the contrary the lack of it has a negative effect. In the younger school age there should be a diversity of physical activity and it should often vary. If, in this period of age, the physical activity would be in the form of specialized sport training with dominant asymetric load without any compensating activity, the effect of that training would be probably negative and even harming for the growing body of young children, who are not prepared for that type of burden. To ensure an adequate development of specific skills and gaits the appropriate level of gross motor function and coordination is required. The evaluation of such movement features after reaching bipedal locometion is mediocre at best and the current test batteries are limited in application. For these reasons the goal was to create new battery of tests and use it to evaluate the gross motor function and coordination in primary school children and assessment of the impact of gender and extracurricular activity on the results. Possibilities of Using the Motor Test (MABC - 2) in Students with Autistic Spectrum Disorder

The main aim of this thesis is to find out if it is possible to use diagnostic tool called Motor Test for children MABC-2 for finding out motor level at people with Autistic Spectre Disorder, specifically at the group of children beween age 7-10. Children between the age 7-10 with diagnosis ASD are a target group. The next aim is to find out suitable way of distribution at this age group. There is also a question connected with this aim if it is alternatively needed to secure certain moficistions of test batery which would help to increase quality of results at people with Autistic Spectre Disorder. Possible modifications could be a subject of next researches. Theoretical part is dedicated mostly to Autistic Spectre Disorder and the description of particular types which fall into this group. Next crucial topic is a description of gross and fine motor skills and development of motor skills in connection with the age.In the following part there is at first description of used test battery MABC-2,then there is a chapter aimed at qualitative method of research,specifially case study which was used for gaining neccesary information. Practical part is aimed at casuistry of chosen children together with exact description of testing. From research emerged that it is possible to use diagnostic tool MABC-2 at children with ASD at the age group between age 7-10. However, it is neccesary to aim at suitable way of distribution to keep sufficient attention and certain motivation at these children.
