Schoberová, Tereza ; Nekola, Martin (advisor) ; Bryndová, Lucie (referee)
The bachelor thesis focuses on the use of smart drugs by university students. This phenomenon is becoming more popular in society, but it has not been properly researched and debated in the Czech Republic. The aim of this thesis is to describe experiences of smart drug use among selected university students in the Czech Republic and to understand their motivations for using them. The first part of the thesis, the theoretical part, describes what smart drugs are, what their prevalence is and how their use can be viewed through moral and social behavioural perspectives. The theoretical part also discusses how the use can be viewed as a social problem or a solution to social problems. In the second part of the thesis, the methodological part, the aims of the thesis, the research questions, the chosen research methods and the ethical aspects of the research are presented. The last part of the thesis, the analytical part, is devoted to the analysis of the collected data. The data was obtained through qualitative research conducted in the form of semi-structured interviews with nine students of Czech universities and analysed using open, axial and selective coding. The analysis of the interviews shows that the academic environment creates pressure on students, which students try to resist by using smart...

The diploma thesis deals with the motivation of university students to study the teaching of biology. The aim of this thesis was to find which factors influenced the students when deciding the field of their studies. Student motivation was examined using a qualitative method of semi-structured interviews. The research group consisted of 11 university students of the master's degree program of the Faculty of Science and the Faculty of Education at Charles University in the teaching fields combined with biology. The research results show that the primary interest in biology was evident in respondents already during their early childhood or later at an elementary school. In relation to biology, the respondents were influenced by the family and the teachers at either primary or secondary schools. The thesis presents extrinsic and intrinsic motives for the study of biology. The choice of teaching was affected the most by the interest in working with children and the expectation of creative work in the future, even though the respondents were aware of the low financial valuation, the time and psychological demands of the profession. The biology teachers also opted for the possibility of further subject developing and supporting interest in biology interest among pupils. The thesis also contains a...

Steklá, Veronika ; Stříteský, Marek (advisor) ; Wolf, Marek (referee)
The main objective of this thesis is to create a proposal for improving recruitment campaign for AIESEC Prague based on research. The thesis is divided into two parts, a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part defines necessary terminology. The introduction of the practical part explains the fundamentals and the structure of AIESEC, both from an international perspective and Czech republic perspective. The practical part continues with an evaluation of a survey, which consists of three questionnaires. The evaluation is divided into six individual subchapters. The results of the survey are complemented by a list of other student organisations that are potential competitors. This is followed with evaluation of AIESECs position in the student organisations market in terms of strenghts, weaknesses, potential opportuities and threats. The conclusion summarizes and proposes further improvements to the recruitment proces.
