The bachelor thesis "Ways and Difficulties of Social Work with a Client Having Suffered an Injury with Permanent Consequences" is dealing with specifics of social work with a client who has suffered an injury resulting in irreversible damage of a part of his body. Special attention is paid to injuries of cervical spine area and the spinal cord. The introduction lists potential permanent consequences and their impact to the client, i.e. physical, psychological and social impacts. The thesis is discussing the needs of a client after an injury with permanent consequences as well as the opportunities for cooperation of social workers, physicians, nurses, psychologists and other healthcare professionals.
