Modern trends in engine forced induction
Podhora, David ; Zubík, Martin (referee) ; Knotek, Jiří (advisor)
The goal of this bachelor thesis is to summarize the fundamental knowledge about supercharging the combustion engines, whereas the emphasis is on the modern trends of this branch. The first two chapters are aiming at the basic principles and reasons for using the supercharging method. Further on, this thesis explains the individual elements of supercharging systems and their possible arrangement. The last part is disserting on the most actual modern trends at supercharging of the combustion engines.
Intercooler for the CDS SEMI-PRO combustion engine
Novozámský, Richard ; Bazala, Jiří (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
This diplom thesis describes design of new pressured air cooling system for trubocharged Diesel engine used in CDS Semi-Pro competitions. First part is focused on analysis external conditions influencing the desing. Second part pays attention to simulations of performance. Third part describes design of two systems and possible testitng method. In last part, the real parametrs are put into the computing model followed by verification of the results and evaulation of the designed systems.
Increasing AR67203 Engine Performance
Smilek, Lukáš ; Beran, Martin (referee) ; Svída, David (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is supercharging of SI engines and design influence on performance. The main objective of this thesis is to propose appropriate modifications on AR67203 engine of Alfa Romeo 155Q4 personal vehicle in order to achieve significantly better performance parameters and a constant torque in the widest possible speed range. That is why I analyze design and modifications that affect the overall engine performance and their appropriate application to the selected engine. An important point of this thesis is the right choice of turbocharger, in order to have an effective cooperation with a modified engine. The calculation study and the simulation in Lotus Engine Simulation software serve this purpose. I also give information about ECU programming. The results, as well as a practical output in the form of measured performance parameters of modified engine, are evaluated at the end.
Vliv teploty plnícího vzduchu na parametry přeplňovaného motoru
Bárta, Jiří
The thesis entitled ,The influence of charge air temperature on supercharged engine parameters, deals with thermodynamics of internal combustion engine in the first part. Next part describes systems of supercharging internal combustion engines and charge air cooling systems for supercharged engines. The final part is dedicated to analysis of measured data. The measurement took place at the engine testing room of XXX in Brno. The aim of the thesis is to determine the influence of intake air temperature on supercharged engine parameters.
