Evaluation of the load-bearing capacity of micropiles using various methods
Tarbajová, Mária ; Miča, Lumír (referee) ; Chalmovský, Juraj (advisor)
The work focuses on the description of various domestic and foreign methods that can be applied to calculate the load-bearing capacity of micropiles in cohesive and cohesionless soils. The main goal of this work is to determine the values of the load-bearing capacity of micropiles on two specific cases, while in the first case it is a cohesive and in the second case a cohesionless soils. Subsequently, the comparison and evaluation of the used methods of calculation with the results of load tests.
Stabilized operation of a 400 kV power line
Sláma, Jan ; Topolánek, David (referee) ; Blažek, Vladimír (advisor)
This thesis deals with eletrical calculations of long stabilized 400 kV power lines. The main objective is to determine the eletrical parameters of power line beginning in case the parameters of line end are known for various power factors. Also the calculation methods of power lines is generally dealt with. Power-voltage way of computation and a method of exact solution was used for the calculations as to control the results.
Vliv globální krize na rozsah stínové ekonomiky v České republice
Habarta, Roman
Bachelor thesis is focused on the evaluation of the impact of the global crisis on the shadow economy in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part deals with the function of the shadow economy and meaning in the current economy. The next part evaluates the causes and consequences of the existence of the shadow economy. In the empirical part I used Gutmanns method and Method of inconsistent (discrepancy) for own estimation of the size of the shadow economy in the period from 2005 to 2013. The calculations are compared in the context of the pre-crisis period, during and after the crisis. I also used in the practical part regression analysis to assess the impact on the shadow economy for the 28 EU countries.
On sphere
Ivan, Matúš ; Bečvářová, Martina (advisor) ; Surynková, Petra (referee)
This diploma thesis describes historical evolution of calculation of sphere's volume and surface and provides an analysis of textbooks for secondary and primary schools. It is made with the intention to inspire high school teachers with various approaches of teaching the volume and surface of solid bodies. It can help teachers with motivation of students as well as with selection of textbook and teaching methods for the issue. This thesis is meant to inspire high school students interested in history of mathematics, too. It includes analysis of preserved exercises on the topic from ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia as well as findings from Archimedes' works, which were devoted to this topic. Moreover it describes contribution of enlighteners on the subject and shows exact procedures of derivation of formulas using integral calculus.
Volume and surface of sphere
Ivan, Matúš ; Bečvářová, Martina (advisor) ; Halas, Zdeněk (referee)
This work presents historical development in methods of calculating volume and surface of a sphere. It's made for high school teachers as a resource for teaching about volume and surface of solids and for high school students who developed interest in historical outlook for this theme. It contains description of particular preserved tasks from ancient Egypt and Mesopotamia. It compares precision of particular approaches taking into account the precision of the constant π. It analyses proofs of facts about volume and surface of sphere from ancient Greece. It describes assets of enlighteners for this theme and shows exact approaches for deducing the formulas for calculating volume and surface of a sphere.

The multiple Riemann integral and its applications in mathematics and physics
BRDLÍK, Pavel
The diploma thesis surveys the problematics of multidimensional Riemann integral. The goals of the thesis are, firstly, to provide a clear summary of the Multidimensional Riemann Integration Theory, secondly, to describe the basic calculation methods on carefully chosen examples, and, thirdly, to demonstrate its practical use in mathematics and natural sciences in general.
