Channel Merging Techniques for improving Dynamic Range of ± 10 V Signal Chain Channel
Merging of Different Exposured Photographs, HDR
Šmida, Vladimír ; Juránek, Roman (referee) ; Seeman, Michal (advisor)
High Dynamic Range Imaging (HDRI) is an emerging field in image postprocessing with non-trivial relations to many different areas, such as image synthesis, computer vision, video and image processing, digital photography, special effects among others. This bachelor's thesis deals with the usage of HDRI in digital photography. Conventional digital cameras are not able to record the full tonal range of the scene. Therefore, if we want to capture a high dynamic range scene, by setting the exposure time we have to choose only a small range of tones which will be well depicted. The rest of the photograph will loose important detail. The method presented and implemented in the scope of this thesis enables us to create HDR picture with realistic values of tones out of several differently exposured photographs.
Hardware Acceleration of Extraction and Merging of Items from Packet Headers
Brázda, Mikuláš ; Kekely, Lukáš (referee) ; Martínek, Tomáš (advisor)
Almost every device on the network needs to extract some fields from the packet headers for its operation, perform operations on them, and forward the reassembled packet. This processing must be implemented at a speed corresponding to the line speed. On high-speed networks, specialized circuits are used to meet this requirement. As the demands on network flexibility increase, so do the demands on the flexibility of these circuits. However, making changes to the hardware description languages is complex and time consuming. This work therefore deals with the implementation of circuits for extraction and subsequent merging of packet header items using high-level synthesis.
Record Linkage in Genealogical Data
Šorm, Jan ; Rozman, Jaroslav (referee) ; Zbořil, František (advisor)
The main aim of this thesis is to study genealogical data, to find out possible problems in their merging and to implement methods for this data merging. In this thesis, it will be studied the problem of classifying similar names into common classes. This problem will be studied mainly because people's names and surnames play the most important role in every registry entry. In this thesis, it will be analyzed several metrics for calculating the distance between two strings. In addition, several experiments will be done for these metrics to classify names into classes with as few errors as possible. Based on these results, experiments for record linkage will be performed.

Channel Merging Techniques For Improving Dynamic Range Of ± 10v Signal Chain
Dusek, Samuel
This paper presents the channel merging technique that is used in the Analog Devices part AD7606C. In more detail, it describes the current dynamic range (DR) and total harmonic distortion (THD) performance that has been achieved on the first AD7606C silicon. Then, it presents options to achieve higher values of the DR and also options to mitigate the undesirable non-linear current which decreases the THD performance.
