Diffusion in Metals
Pavlík, Jakub ; Münsterová, Eva (referee) ; Molliková, Eva (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the elementary rules and types of diffusion in metallic materials where diffusion is the main option of mass transfer. It also includes basic information on the physical and phenomenological approach to solving the problems of the diffusion. In the last chapter there is discussed the positive and negative effects of diffusion processes during heat treatment of metal materials, or during use of material in practice and there is included mathematical model of diffusion in a semi-infinite environment, which describes the process of carbonating and desaturation of carbon under the planar surface of the part.
