Comparison of British and Czech educational systems specifically in terms of school management

TITLE: "Comparison of British and Czech educational systems specifically in terms of school management" AUTHOR: Hana Kratinová DEPARTMENT: School Management Centre SUPERVISOR: RNDr. Jindřich Kitzberger ABSTRACT: This bachelor thesis presents a comparison of British and Czech educational systems in terms of historical development, the school systems, status and education of teachers and specially the function of the head teacher. In the theoretical section a number of interesting comparative data is listed. This section covers not only the present of British education and related areas but also historical development. Great attention is paid to comparison of the two school systems, as well as to the differences and similarities in the education of teachers and managers. Practical part provides by the method of survey suggestions of areas in which in the opinions of the respondents could be used practical experience of British school management in the Czech conditions, although both countries are different in terms of history, sociality and also in terms of the state systems.
