Study of the electron optical systems with broken rotational symmetry
Horák, Michal ; Radlička, Tomáš (referee) ; Zlámal, Jakub (advisor)
This thesis deals with computing of the magnetic lens with a perturbed pole piece due to manufacturing imperfections. Two possible ways of calculation are discussed - the perturbation theory and 3D computing. Three methods for evaluating axial multipole field functions from 3D fields are introduced. Beam spots in the image plane and aberration coefficients are computed and results obtained by the application of perturbation theory are compared to results evaluated from 3D simulations. Consequently, a suitability of using the perturbation theory is discussed.
Design of focusing and deflection system of electron welder
Franc, Viktor ; Sháněl, Ondřej (referee) ; Zlámal, Jakub (advisor)
Main parts of the electron beam welder are the source of electrons, accelerator, magnetic lens with deflection coils and stigmator, welding chamber with manipulation stage for welding object and vacuum system. This master thesis starts the design of the electron beam welder prototype. More precisely it is aimed not only on electron optic design, but also on construction of magnetic lens, deflection coils, stigmator, welding chamber and vacuum system.
Current source for electron optics
Vomela, Roman ; Horský, Pavel (referee) ; Kolka, Zdeněk (advisor)
This master thesis focuses on the design of a precision current source for a magnetic lens. First, electron microscopy is explained because the magnetic lens, or coil, is part of the electron microscope. Then the control principle of the magnetic lens and its properties are explained. In the next section, the design of a bipolar current source and the requirements for output current stability are discussed. The thesis includes a description of the circuit diagram of the proposed current source. Finally, the current source is realized and the basic parameters, especially the stability of the output current, are measured.
