Macrobiotic - full-fledged form of food?

Subject: Macrobiotic - full-valued form of nutrition? Objective: Evaluation of macrobiotics as full compensation for conventional diets recommended by the Presidium of the Board of the Society for Nutrition based on the oretical approaches and empirical findings. Characteristics of the ingredients and nutritional analysis in terms of the in impact on physical and mental condition of the human organism. Method: Objectives of the thesis was achieved using method of quotas to select research sample. On the basis of established criteria and defined number of representatives for the sample, were selected only thoseind ividuals who meet these criteria. Macrobiotic menus were analyzedat three men and at free women. The data obtained via measure ments were compared with recommended daily dose. This model was chosen as it was the most recent vision of the diet model. Results: Macrobiotic diet reprents full-fledged alternative form of nutrition, based on research carried out. This conclusion is based on research conducted with free men and free women who provided weekly menus for analysis purpose and conversion to these menus to the nutritional value was sufficiently proved. Alternative types of nourishment by students of university in České Budějovice

This bachelor thesis deals with alternative ways of nutrition diet of college students in Ceske Budejovice. The theoretical part explains the characteristics of the most known alternative diets and their possible nutrition risks. Furthermore, the theoretical part discusses possible reasons for the transition to alternative eating habits. The practical part evaluates the representation of alternative ways of college students' diet in Ceske Budejovice. It also discovers the rate of representation of the particular alternative ways of nourishment, students' opinions on the alternative diet and the amount of fluid intake with regards to a way of nourishment. In addition, it discusses intake of food complements and the changes that are recognized after the transition to an alternative diet. The analysis is based on the quantitative research, which was completed by the anonymous electronic questionnaire. The gathered data are presented in tables and graphs.
Alternative trends of eating and their application in population.

The objective of this thesis is to present a concise survey of the most significant scientifically-respected alternative trends of eating. The theoretical part analyzes the literature available for the topic. First, attention is paid to eating habits. Then, the focus shifts to vegetarianism, macrobiotics, well-balanced diet and partite diet. The final chapter of theoretical treatise is devoted to eating trends with the briefest tradition, that is organic and protective diet. The applied part of the thesis deals with tracing the awareness of selected population sample in terms of alternative trends of eating and further mapping of these trends´popularity. The research was carried out by means of questionnaire with 180 participants. Both theses were validated.
