Vlpyv deliaceho bodu na klasifikáciu bankrotných firiem pomocou logitového modelu
Dolnáková, Paulína
Dolnáková, P. Impact of the threshold on the classification of bankruptcy companies using the logit model. Master thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2021. The thesis is dedicated to creating and optimization of a predictive bankruptcy logit model. The model is based on 3 840 companies from Central Europe, among which 47 went bankrupt in 2017. To compare the quality of classification, the individual models are created both on the whole data set, but also using the division of data into training and validation subsets. We used the proportion 60/40 in which 60% of companies form a training subset and the remaining 40% of companies form a validation subset. Also, a 70/30 proportion was used. In the case of dividing the whole data set into training and validation subsets, a one thousand simulations were created. Using these strategies, separate models are created for individual monitored years, based on data from one to three years before the moment of possible bankruptcy. The quality of the classification of created models is assessed by total accuracy, sensitivity, and the AUC criterion. The influence of the threshold value on the quality of the classification is clearly presented on the individual models.
Predikcia bankrotu podnikov v sektore stavebníctva EÚ
Oberfrancová, Romana
This diploma thesis main goal is to predict primary bankruptcy indicators in construction sector based on model. This model is built by advanced classifier methods such as classification trees and logistic regression. Applicability of prediction depends on quality of built model and therefore verification of classification accuracy is essential for bankruptcy prediction. The theoretical part is focused on construction sector in the EU specializing on basic financial analysis including ratio indicators and frequently used models for predicting the bankruptcy of enterprises. The practical part consists of model creation and evaluation for each observed time period. The end of thesis is dealing with model evaluation based on given criteria.
Hodnocení finanční situace podniků automobilového průmyslu s využitím pokročilých metod regresní analýzy
Halmová, Barbora
The main goal of this diploma thesis is to analyze the financial health of a number of Czech companies in the automotive sector. For the analysis, the logistic regression method will be applied to financial data available on the Amadeus database. Results of the regression will then be compared to those obtained using the Altman Z-score model. A second aim of the thesis is to analyze a sales time series for the Czech automotive industry using the Box-Jenkins method and to derive the impact of the recent financial crisis on the sales numbers.
Možnosti využití crowdfoundingu při financování veřejně prospěšných projektů v ČR
Hazuková, Miroslava
Hazuková, M. The possibilities of using crowdfunding to finance public projects in the Czech Republic. Diploma thesis. Brno: Mendel University, 2019. The diploma thesis deals with the possibilities of using crowdfunding as an alternative source to finance public goods and projects. It discusses benefits, pro-blems and risks of this form of financing. Furthermore, the thesis examines pro-jects with public interest at two crowdfunding platforms, the Czech HitHit and the American Indiegogo. First of all, the gathered data is subjected to a quantitative analysis aimed at evaluating elements of a project with public interest that may most affect its success. The main part of this thesis is based on a logit model, which was used to evaluate factors leading to the most successful campaign with public interest. The conclusion discusses the potential for financing public and public be-nefit projects in the Czech Republic in the form of civic crowdfunding, and provides a summary of advantages and disadvantages of this way of financing. In addition, recommendations are formulated for the public sector on how to set key factors to make the campaign successful.
Crowdfunding a jeho potenciál v EU a ČR
Dvořáková, Pavla
This diploma thesis deals with the development and potential of crowdfunding in the European Union and the Czech Republic. The thesis examines the structure of campaigns published on two crowdfunding portals - Kickstarter and HitHit. The main part is making of a logit model, which result is evaluation of the factors that influence the success of the campaigns. The examined factors include the number of supporters, the category to which the campaign is assigned, or the target amount. The main aim of this thesis is evaluation of the potential of crowdfunding in the Czech Republic and the European Union. The thesis also deals with evaluati-on of successful crowdfunding campaigns. At the end of the thesis there are evaluated success factors, such as a dance category or projects originating by initiators from the Great Britain. There are also discussed some risks which are associated with this type of financing and may threaten future development of crowdfunding in the European Union, such as Brexit.
Education and crime - the economic view
Šipkovská, Silvie ; Vyhnánek, Tomáš (advisor) ; Adam, Tomáš (referee)
In her thesis, the author addresses the relationship between education and selected types of crime (economic, property and violent crime) in the context of the national economy. The aim of the thesis is to show that the relationship between crime and education is much more complex than it may appear on the basis of current findings and observations and that, besides education, the criminal career of an offender is also significantly influenced by his/her family background and, therefore, it is appropriate to include this factor into the analysis. The analytical section of the thesis is divided into two separate parts. The first part, which deals with the phenomenon of crime in general, describes the dependency of individual crime types, education and family background by means of tables and diagrams showing percentages of individual variables and using contingency tables and correlation tables. The analysis confirms that there is a significant relationship between crime and the combination of education and family background. This hypothesis, however, manifests itself only in respect of certain types of family background, namely the backgrounds described as "working class" and "intelligentsia". The second part is devoted to recidivism as a particularly negative phenomenon -58% of offenders in the analysed...
The Role of Subsidies in the Management of Companies Engaged in Fishing
Bártová, Blanka ; Bína, Vladislav (advisor) ; Krejčová, Iva (referee)
The theme of thesis concerns SUBSIDIES AND THEIR IMPACT ON THE MANAGEMENT OF COMPANIES ENGAGED IN FISHING. According to the list of references a definition of the term subsidy is described and types of subsidies and their importance to the organization's budget is shown. Furthermore, this part of the work deals with organizations and European Union funds that deal with European fishing and their funding. And there is also a focus on policy of subsidies in the fisheries of the Czech Republic. The main purpose of the practical part, however, is statistical analysis and model of aspects playing the biggest role in the allocation of subsidies.
Some models for categorical data
Kalina, Jan
The work investigates connections between log-linear and logit models, which are two special cases of generalized linear models, suitable for statistical modeling of categorical data. Further the Markov-McNemar test is described, which is a test of homogeneity of limit marginal probabilities originally proposed for evaluating DNA sequences.
