Swimming Centre Brno
Froňková, Dominika ; Teplý, Vladimír (referee) ; Odvárka, Antonín (advisor) ; Štěpánek, Ladislav (advisor)
The theme of the project is concept of the new building of swimming pool in locality Brno-Židenice. The land is located on the west of district area Brno-Židenice, in close proximity to district area Brno-Vinohrady. The proposal is based on the shape of the land, which is very irregular and sloping, from the location of the new building on existing policlinic and compliance with sufficient distance from policlinic. The object is partially buried in the slope and consists of three united masses, two of which have two floors, the third mass is „a rootstock“ and connects the other two mass - entry, the communications space. Two higher masses, at first glance, to give the impression that there's something interesting - in one of them is wellness and fitness, in the second is locker room and the main space with swimming pools. The facade is designed to not too much contrast with the older building of policlinic. It's designed white plaster with glass surfaces and irregular windows with hidden frame. It was important to keep a distance from policlinic and ensure front space of object, where they can contact and pass as patients of policlinic, so visitors of swimming centre. This space can also serve to rest.
The Swimming cetrum Brno Zidenice
Pleva, František ; ing.arch. Lukáš Ležatka, Ph.D (referee) ; Pavlovský, Tomáš (advisor) ; Petříček, Tomáš (advisor)
The main theme of this project is a concept of the Swimming centrer in Brno—Židenice. The plot in question is extremely complex. It is located on the edge of a hillside near the Health center at Viniční, which naturally dominates the area by the shape and size of its structure. The underlying idea was to use orthogonal shapes to create a building, that would not compete with the Health center but would add up to its surroundings instead. Every single part of the project was designed to delicately fit into given terrain and surroundings. Most of the functions of the building are set on the 1st floor (e.g. locker rooms, two bars, water world and wellness). The 1st underground floor features technical services rooms. On the 2nd floor, there is only a swimming pool and a terrace with whirlpools on one part of the roof. The roof top offers an excellent view on the city of Brno. South and west facades of the pool hall are made completely out of glass. It is covered by vertical curved aluminum lamellar system. That is because of the thermal technical requirements of the building, however, it is also a dynamic piece of the facade that adds up to aesthetic finish of the building. The construction is based on a combined system of monolithic reinforced concrete columns and walls and glue laminated timber beams and frames. The roofs are compact and green. In the part above the locker rooms is intense green roof planted intensively green fully-grown greenery.
A Small Theatre Brno
Greguška, Peter ; Teplý, Vladimír (referee) ; Odvárka, Antonín (advisor) ; Brzoň, Roman (advisor)
The theme of the bachelor thesis is concept of the small theatre in the locality of Brno - Střed. The land is situated on the northern slope of Špilberk castle, near to the park Obilní trh, the Ombudsman and the maternity ward of the University hospital Brno. The proposal is based on the character of the land, its strategic location and the purpose of the building. The land is slightly sloping from street line towards the castle. Idea creates a new path that connects the Obilní trh park with the Špilberk park and hold the frontage line of the street in some dynamic way. The entrances to the building are shifted from the frontage line, which is creating a small space for meeting before entering. It also creates the architectural intention of sectionalising mass on many subjects. That is based on the philosophy of the theatre itself - diversity, where every performance is settled in different place, time and location with different people, played by the same actors in the same theatre halls. It is one object divided into 6 parts, which has the task of creating the illusion of a town. There are 2 objects on the land and a car park. For the bachelor thesis, it has been further developed object SO01 - small theatre. It is functional divided into three parts. The first is the main part which serve on cultural activities. After the entrance portal, there is a public locker room, foyer, 2 theatres, 2 exhibition areass, a lecture room and toilets. The second part is a café with public entrance from the outside. Café is connected to the theatre for preparing snacks during events and performance breaks. Third part is theatre facilities with separate entrance for actors and entering supplies. There are 4 cloakrooms, toilets, showers, 2 overhead rooms, storages, test room, office and technical background.
