Israeli Folk Dance:History and Presence with a Particular Focus on Dancing in the Czech Republic

This thesis intends to introduce Israeli folk dance from a number of different perspectives. In the first part, based on literature review, the author presents the origins of Israeli folk dances in Israel as well as their roots and the way they further function in a current Israeli society. Special attention is given to the problematic labeling of Israeli folk dance as "folk". The second part of the thesis is based on the author's own field work and describes the ways Israeli folk dances are practiced in the Czech environment. Whereas in Israel these dances are mostly connected with demonstration of Israeli identity, they get different meanings in the Czech environment. Firstly the author attempted to reconstruct the history of spreading of Israeli folk dances in the Czech environment and to map the different groups involved in these dances. Collection of these facts can be further used as an information source for all researchers wishing to conduct studies on Israeli folk dances in the Czech Republic in the future. Secondly the author concentrated on the ways of practicing Israeli folk dances in a Prague group called Besamim. Folklore within the Music Education at Lower Secondary Schools

The graduation thesis deals with the problem of engagement of Czech folklore into the process of music education at lower secondary schools. It presents theory about Czech folklore and analyzes contemporary offer of music course books intended for lower secondary schools from the point of view of their content of folklore material. It reveals results of the research oriented on the folklore education at lower secondary schools. On the basis of these results, the diploma thesis proposes a project how to integrate Czech folklore into the music lessons as well as into other subjects taught at lower secondary schools.
Folk culture in Chodsko and options of use in the primary school enviroment

The thesis focuses on folk culture in Chodsko. The main focus is folk songs and collectors. It provides an insight into the differences between the Upper and Lower Chodsko region. Reader will find important historical and present personalities for regional folk culture. At the end of the thesis there is a proposal for working with Chodsko's folk culture in the primaey school environment. The Ensemble of Folk Songs and Dances Čtyřlístek from Nové Strašecí

This dissertation is focused on The Ensemble of Folk Songs and Dances Čtyřlístek from Nové Strašecí. It summarizes its history and describes main personalities who worked with this ensemble over its forty years long existence. This research deals with the founders collectors activities as well as collection of folk songs served as an inspiration for the ensemble´s creative work. As part of this thesis there are also interviews with principal dancers of this ensemble, as well as with its founders Bohumil Chochola and Jan Stránský. This thesis also documents the ensemble´s artistic creation in its timeline and illustrates two scripts of selected dancing programs. Finally the last part of the thesis focuses on The Middle-Bohemian Festival Funfair of Tuchlovice, which was created thanks to the ensemble´s artistic work.
Elements of dance techniques in floor exercise in women artistic gymnastics

Title: Elements of dance techniques in floor exercise in women artistic gymnastics Objective: The main objective of this master thesis is an analysis of elements of dance techniques in women finalists of floor exercise in all four Olympics games from 2004 to 2016. Methods: In this master thesis content analysis and observation has been used. These methods were used to collect and evaluate necessary data. Results: The results bring an overview of individual approach of floor exercise finalists of each olympic games from 2004 to 2016 to dance elements depending on selected criteria. Futhermore they also compare the overall use of dance elements in particular olympic games with others and indicate the effect of the time interval between games on the frequency of presence of dance elements in the reports. Based on the results it is possible to predict the use of dance elements in floor exersice in the future. Keywords: dance, report, classical dance, contemporary dance, jazz dance, folk dance
Folklore ensembles in Znojemsko

This bachelor work threat about introduction folklore and another few ensembles operating in the past and in the present in Znojemsko. Whereas Znojmo isn't folklore region, there are people and traditionals who are holding this in Znojmo. In particular I am concetrating on ensemble Dyjavánek, which is operating more than 25 years. Then I describe another few ensembles, folk costumes, songs and dances. Purpose of this work is introduction of music live in Znojemsko, which is very multefarious and try to draw near the people, so administrators begin with distribution various music festivals.
