Forestry cableway remote diagnostics

This bachelor's thesis focuses on description of electronics and controllers of forestry cableways Larix. The stress is laid on controlling system among others working with GSM modem securing the communication with remote monitoring centre. The analysis of the need of local as well as remote diagnostics leads to definition of requirements for communication channel that needs to be secured. Applying GSM net and communicate through standardised industrial modems connected through port RS232 is suggested as the most effective solution. The main part of the dissertation includes particularities and possibilities of communication through GPRS service. All-embracing communication channel including the server that transfers data packets among particular clients is designed and programmed. The final part summarizes achieved results and outputs of testing compiled solution including data throughput and response. Simultaneously based on acquired experience some procedures for final implementation in evolution and production of new types of cableways are recommended.
Strength analysis of the frame for forestry cable yarder

This work is focused on the strength analysis of the frame of the Larix Lamako forestry cable yarder rope, as an additional device of a universal agricultural tractor. The theoretical part of the work is focused on the basic description, determination of the area of use of the equipment and the distribution of forest rope transport equipment according to several criteria. The practical part of the work deals with the analytical calculation of force action. Based on the force action, the strength analysis of the original frame structure is numerically calculated. The numerical calculation is followed by structural modifications of the frame and numerical calculation of the modified structure. Assembly drawings of the original and modified structure are processed based on the original and modified equipment models.
Analysis of performance and economic indicators for yarding timber using cableways.

In this thesis two important aspects affecting economical use of cableways in forestry are examined. First part of the thesis deals with comparison between existing performance standards for cableways and values obtained from field research during yarding the timber. The research took place in French Masiv Central from September to December 2014 using cablway based on the conception of skyline and endless line. Research shows that the time consumption of timber skidding quoted in the performance standards is overvalued compared to data obtained from the field research. Second part of the thesis is focused on economic aspects of the cableway operation. The whole issue is illustrated on model example analysing year costs and yields resulting from cableway operation. Output of this work is also a file of MS Excel programme which calculates year costs and yields on the basis of entered parameters (cableway price, labour costs, number of the months of cableway operation...). From these values the return on investment to cableway is then calculated.

Analýza lanovkového soustřeďování dříví na školním polesí Lesnické akademie v Trutnově

This bachelor's work is dealing with analysis of the cableway transport of timberat school forest district of Czech High School of Forestry Management in Trutnov. A group of students -- teaching branch 41-56-H/01 Forestry mechanization was observed during the work, which during the technical training engages in manipulation with yarder Larix 3T. The work scrutinized a proportional discharge of performance standards students' work group by assembling and dismantling of cableway Larix 3T.
