The role of landscape planning in the system development and management of land use

One of the most important instruments for the system development and management of land use is landscape planning. This paper deals with psotavení a function of landscape planning in the structure of the system development and management of land use and brief comments on the current state of krajiného planning in the Czech Republic.

A part of the study from the year 1983 “Landscape-ecological consequences of the construction and running the Nuclear power plant Temelín“ was used as one of the information bases for the research project “Social-ecological and psychological impacts of the nuclear power plant of Temelín”. The main hypothesis of the study was that nuclear power plant Temelín would be the main driving force of the region’s development. From nowadays point of view this hypothesis is actual (was accomplished). On the other hand the study didn’t take into account the possibilities of political and economic changes in the Czech Republic. As a result, many of socio economic phenomena forecasted by the study have not become reality.
Effect of different management on development of vegetation, fluxes of energy, water and matter in landscape using case studies of three small catchments

Effect of different mamagement practices on ecological functioning of landscape has being studied in three small catchment of Šumava mountains. The highest matter losses in terms of base cations were found in agriculture drained land. Dissipation of solar energy has been evaluated by means of Landsat satellite pictures.
