The theoretical part of work is focused on anatomy and functional anatomy in lumbar area, etiopathogenesis and differential diagnostics, clinical symptoms, diagnostics and conservative and chirurgic treatment. Into physiotherapist approaches belong following techniques: physical therapy, mobilization techniques, soft tissue and post isometric release, reflex therapy, medical physical treatment and application of physiotherapy concepts and methods. Important part of physiotherapy of lumbar vertebrogenic algic syndrome is deeply stabilized spine system and its insuficiention and therapy diagnostics. In practical part of work the casuistry of two patients with degenerative changes of lumbar spine is elaborated. Differences between those two patients are in their regime of life and in their attitude towards vertebrogenic disease, which is related to...
Verification of the effect of a sport's program on the development of motor skills of children with specific needs
Votroubková, Veronika ; Doležalová, Kateřina (advisor) ; Fričová, Marie (referee)
Title: Effect verification of interventional movement program on the motor skill development of children with specific needs. Objectives: The main goal of this thesis is to assess the level of physical skills of older school aged children based on the pretest using the MABC-2 test battery. Based on the analysis of pretest results, establish a movement interventional program and use a standardized questionnaire submitted to specialists to determine the effectiveness of the motor stimulation program for children with specific needs and improve the results of a potential post-test. Methods: The template for creating the movement program was collected data using the MABC-2 test battery obtained in six probands aged 11 to 13 years with specific needs. Originally, the practical part of my thesis was to deal with quasiexperiment, which was supposed to obtain data before and after the implementation of an interventional program which includes the movement program presented here. However, control measurements were not allowed due to government regulations due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Method of the pretest analysis of motor skills through the MABC-2 test battery and the method of the standardized questionnaire were used for the purpose of this thesis. Through this questionnaire, specialized experts...

Physiotherapy as a part of complex therapy of women who are treated from their alcoholism
KEHAROVÁ, Gabriela
The topic of the thesis is: "Physiotherapy as a Part of Complex Therapy of Women Treated for Alcoholism." Tens of thousands of people, namely 25 % of men and 10 % of women suffer from alcohol addiction in the Czech Republic. The first part of the Bachelor Thesis characterizes general attributes of addiction and alcoholism as such. The main part of the work and the research are focused on women?s alcoholism. The research was performed in cooperation with 5 patients treated for alcohol addiction in the Psychiatric Clinic Červený Dvůr. The tested group of patients was monitored for less than 3 months. The aim of the work was to monitor the influence of therapeutic physical training on physical and mental health of women abstaining from alcohol. Three research questions were asked: Will the overall fitness of abstaining women improve after taking twenty training units? Will the women feel better after the training? Will regular exercise influence the sleep regime of the abstaining women? The exercises were focused on improvement of condition and balance, relaxation exercises. Semi-structured interview with the women and monitoring were involved to examine the effect. The data were processed by means of qualitative content analysis. Improvement of fitness depending on the number of the undertaken exercise units was seen in all the patients. The balance abilities, which also more or less improved, relate to the fitness. The results of the questionnaires filled in by the patients during the research to examine the effect of the exercises on sleep showed that the exercises within the research had no influence on the sleep regime. All the patients were instructed in home exercising followed by kinesiotherapy. A control group of five women treated from alcohol addiction not participating in the exercises was chosen for examination of the exercise effect. Upon positive replies to the first two research questions, and comparison of the values measured in the research group and those measured in the control group the positive influence of therapeutic physical training on physical and mental health of women abstaining from alcohol may be confirmed. This work will serve as an input for consideration of permanent integration of physiotherapy in complex therapy of women treated for alcoholism.
Physiotherapy after total hip joint replacement
ŠUHÁJKOVÁ, Pavla
Pain in a hip joint can dramatically affect the chance of having active life. The recent years have seen a significant progress in the results achieved while implanting artificial hip joints. This type of operation is simultaneously becoming increasingly more often especially when we take into consideration the increasing age of population. Implanting total hip joint replacement results in improving the quality of life, which can only be achieved through interdisciplinary collaboration of doctors, complex rehabilitation treatment, and positive approach of the subject alone. The aim of this bachelor?s thesis was to process case reports of patients after total hip joint replacements and to put together rehabilitation plans for these subjects. With the established objective in mind, the author summarizes outcomes dealing with the issues relating to total hip joint replacement, physiotherapy, occupational therapy, and spa treatment following such operation. The research part of the bachelor?s thesis was accomplished by qualitative research. Data were collected by observing, interviewing and analysing documents. The data were gathered by individual in-depth interview and using case reports, which included author?s own observations, a draft of rehabilitation plan and implementation of the therapy, and subsequent outcomes from the assessment of therapy. The research corpus comprised of two patients who underwent a planned total hip joint replacement because they had been suffering from advanced primary coxarthrosis. The research was carried out at an in-patient orthopaedic department of the Hospital Pelhřimov in March 2011, when the subjects were being hospitalised. Quality and appropriately managed rehabilitation allows quicker improvement in the patient?s health following the operation. It is used as a prevention of complications, it improves engagement of functional potential in the operated joint and it consolidates appropriate motion stereotypes. The outcomes of the research confirm that such pre-operational and post-operational rehabilitation carried out during the stay in hospital leads to a decrease or complete removal of pain, an increase in joint?s mobility and muscular power, getting used to walking on flat surfaces and up and down staircases, and the level of independency in everyday activities.
Geriatric curative rehabilitation
BAUDYŠOVÁ, Petra
The objective of the Thesis is to coherently process the topic on grounds of a survey in order to provide utility value for relatives of a permanently or temporarily helpless senior. The theoretical part concentrated on presentation of suitable rehabilitation methods and techniques during stay in a traumatologic department, problems of a hospitalized senior, institutional provision of subsequent rehabilitation in available medical facilities, compensation aids and fall prevention. I have performed the survey on grounds of direct hidden observation, interview and experiment {--} use of a sign language in ergotherapy. Problems of hospitalized seniors are solution of subsequent care, unpreparedness for old-age, inconvenient housing due to barriers, associated diseases, worsened adaptation to stereotype changes (e.g. necessary change of compensation aids facilitating motion).
