Nováková, Viktória
The bachelor’s thesis Diseases and deaths of dairy cattle calves in the period until weaning describes an overview of the most common diseases of calves from birth to weaning and the causes of their death in this time period. The most common diseases affecting the gastrointestinal tract are septicemic coli infection, diarrhoic syndrome and infectious enterotoxemia. The respiratory system is most often affected by the respiratory syndrome, which as a complex of diseases includes infectious bovine rhinotracheitis, parainfluenza 3, bovine respiratory syncytial virus and pasteurellosis. Calves diseases are affected by various factors that affect their health. Health is conditioned to a large extent by colostral and milk nutrition, the principles of witch are based on we will discuss. If one of the factors affecting health is disturbed, it can have impact on breeding. Practical part with the most common diseases and their treatment in a company in Slovakia. Based on the results, it was found that in the given farm, the morbidity rate is 86.26% of the total number of calves until weaning. The most prevalent were diarrheal diseases 48.07% and respiratory diseases 36.05%. The recommendation is to educate employees about the technological and animal hygiene principles of husbandry.
Faktory ovlivňující trvání gravidity u skotu
Janštová, Veronika
Bachelor thesis is concentrated on analysis of factors affecting gestation length in dairy cattle of Holstein Friesian breed. Gestation length was considerably influenced by the year and month of conception, sex of calves and parity. Gestation length was also affected the birth of single and twins, as well as by alive and dead calves. In conclusion, gestation length in cows is affected by a number of factors, but they have not all been completely clarified. The knowledge of these factors is very important for the correct determination of the onset of parturition.
Faktory ovlivňující délku březosti u skotu
Vintrlíková, Daniela
This bachelor thesis focused on the analysis of factors which influence the duration of pregnancy in dairy and dualpurpose cattle. In particular, the thesis monitored Holstein milk cattle and the dualpurpose breed of Montbeliard cattle. Pregnancy duration was influenced by the year and month of the birth. In addition, the sex of the calves, the birth of twins, stillbirths and parity of breeds were among the important influencing factors. The results show that the length of pregnancy in these breeds is affected by a number of factors, and many of these have not yet been established. However, knowledge of these is very important in anticipating the onset of labour and birth.
Genetické a environmentální faktory ovlivňující délku březosti u mléčného skotu s vysokou užitkovostí
Trávníčková, Ivona
The diploma thesis focused on the analysis of selected factors affecting the length of gestation period of cows. The observation was performed on 6 836 individuals. Results showed that duration of pregnancy was influenced by parity, sex of born calves and interaction between month of conception and parity. Duration of pregnancy was also influenced by month and year of born calves and sex of singletons and twins. Likewise, the duration of pregnancy was influenced by interaction between the month of conception of cows and the sex of singletons, alive and stillborn calves and parity. In conclusion, the results suggest that the duration of gravidity is affected by many factors which have not been fully clarified yet.
Rozdíly v odpočinkovém chování na pastvě a ve stáji u krav bez tržní produkce mléka ve vybraném chovu
Ostrý, Tomáš
The aim of this bachelor´s thesis was comparing differences in relaxing behaviour of suckler cows at grazing and in the stable. This relaxing behaviour included frequency of standing and lying. For lying cows there was explored the preference of right or left side and the head´s orientation to cardinal points. The observation took place at Ostry´s farm in Kozlov by Bystřice nad Pernštejnem during one year between December 2015 and November 2016. By one day in month in time from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. there were observed suckler cows, mostly crossbreeds of beef breeds. Finally, was evaluated 1391 cases. There are some results at comparison of the differences in relaxing behaviour of cows in depending on technology. Cows in wintering place stood more than on grazing (p < 0,05), but the part of lying cows was almost identical in both places, in stable and on grazing (p > 0,05). Next results are at evaluation of temperature influence. Cows with high statistical significance (p < 0,01) stood more by lower temperatures (to 5 °C), than by higher temperature (15,1 < °C). The part of lying cows with statistical significance was higher in temperature zone 15,1 < °C, than in temperature zone to 5 °C and in zone between 5,1 and 15 °C. Cows in the zone 15,1 < °C preferred left side and cows in zone to 5 °C and zone between 5,1 and 15 °C preferred right side. This result is without statistical significance. By evaluation influence of relative air humidity found out followings. Cows with high statistical significance and with growing relative air humidity more stood, and they devoted to other activity less. The part of lying cows was almost identical in all humidity zones. Lying cows on grazing had head oriented mostly to west, alternatively to north-west or to south. This result has high statistical significance. Lying cows in wintering place had head oriented mostly to east, alternatively to north or south. It has high statistical significance, too. By other categories (heifers and calfs) in depending on technology there was not detected statistically significant difference in relaxing behaviour besides laterality. The heifers preferred right side more on grazing than in stable with statistical significance. Calfs preferred right side on grazing and left side in wintering place.
Biologické a ekonomické aspekty délky březosti mléčného skotu
Janštová, Veronika
Thesis is concentrated on analysis of the various factors that affect gestation length of Holstein breed. There were also analyzed the economic aspects of gestation length in the dairy cattle. Gestation length was considerably influenced by the month of conception, sex of calves, birth of twins and parity. A significant effect was also recorded for alive and dead calves. The results show that the gestation length in cows is influenced by a number of factors which need attention.
Monitorování pohlavní aktivity mléčného skotu
Hrochová, Kateřina
The aim of this diploma thesis was to analyze the symptoms of estrus in cows conceived at various seasons. The study was performed in 301 breeds of Holstein cattle. There was a significant increase in step frequency, a decrease in the total lying time, the resting period and the proportion of the lying time. For deeper understanding, longer-term monitoring of this issue is required.
Vliv faktorů na reprodukci u mléčného skotu
Michnová, Sára
Thesis has been focused on the analysis of factors affecting gestation length in Holstein cows. It has been observed effects of month and year of fertilization in cattle, month and year of calving, parity, calf’s sex, twins and stillbirth. According to the results, it is obvious that the gestation length is influenced by many factors.
