The Liturgy of a Small Ecclesial Community

The theme of this bachelor thesis is the liturgy of a small Christian community. The thesis reflects the relevant literature and the author's personal experience with this ecclesial form of the church. In the first part if the thesis introduces the notion of the church after the Second Vatican Council, based on the theology of the german speaking catholic authors Hans Jorissen a Paul Wess. This ecclesiology provides a starting point for a deeper understanding of the renewed liturgy. Next, the notion of basic ecclesial community is clarified. The main part of the thesis describes certain forms of liturgical celebrations in a particular small ecclesial community with the emphasis on the principles of participatio actuosa fidelium, subsidiarity a collegiality.
