The Multipurpose House in České Budějovice

The subject of this thesis is the design and assessment of the supporting structure multifunctional building in the Czech Budejovice . The construction of a sphere with a maximum diameter of 30 m and a height of 19.5 meters the highest point . The supporting structure consists of curved ribs , elevator shaft and ceiling beams . The structure is designed in 4 versions . Two variants are made of steel, the third option is wooden and the latest version solves a combination of wood and steel. In the variant selected is done loading , ultimate limit state, serviceability limit state , fire resistance and compounds selected details.

The bachelor thesis is focused on family house design, which is made with a combination of wooden construction and masonry. The family house is situated on sloped ground located in a protected landscape area and is made out of two parts. The upper operational unit is covered up by a gable roof, the lower living unit is designed with a flat green roof. This thesis involves a comparison of wooden and masonry constructions, their advantages and disadvantages, historical solutions, current combination possibilities and description of both materials. The thesis involves a technical description of designed solution and thermal technical assessment and drawings in attachment.

The thesis addresses performance of two-generation family house, which can be designed in four variants. They are distinguished in particular by different dispositions of the second and partly the first floor. With little differences is maintained the same outward from the exterior. There is described using of different materials for the walls of the building. In the house are combining walls of brick blocks and timber frame construction filled with insulation. Equally important question is the connection of the timber part to a part of brick blocks and related two different modular coordination. Finally the thesis focuses on the assessment of both types of wall in terms of heat transfer coefficient and an aproximate valuation of building with using uniform classification of buildings.
