Security Integration Processes in the Post-Soviet Space

The thesis deals with the topic of security integration processes in the post-Soviet space, and focuses on the Collective Security Treaty Organization (CSTO). The aim of the thesis is to specify the character of the CSTO from the perspective of collective security theories. The first part of the thesis studies different approaches to the concept of collective security. The result of the first part is the specification of criterions, which allow to identify collective security organization. The second part describes the characteristics of post-Soviet space and integration processes in the post-Soviet space. The third part analyses the Collective Security Treaty Organization. The conclusion provides arguments, why CSTO is not a collective security organization and why it should rather be considered as a collective defense organization.
The role of the USA in the military operations of NATO after the Cold War

The work deals with the question of the US role within NATO in relation to other alliance members in pursuance of making decisions on military operations after the Cold War. The theoretical part provides basic information about NATO, important historical events, basic documents and principles of decision making. The analytical part is dedicated to studying the behavior of the US role in the course of individual operations compared with the behavior of other members of the alliance.The conclusion summarizes the role of the US in NATO and the answer to the question whether the interests of other members of the alliance are suppressed by the United States or not.
