The influence of pharmacological substances from the SYSADOA group on knee osteoarthritis.
Pavlová, Lenka ; Kubový, Petr (advisor) ; Jelen, Karel (referee)
Title: The influence of pharmacological substances from the SYSADOA group on knee osteoarthritis. Objectives: The aim of this work is to determine the effect of three - month usage of pharmacological substances from the SYSADOA group on the subjective perception of the difficulties associated with the knee osteoarthritis and on the reological changes in the joint. Methods: In collaboration with rehabilitation and orthopedic centres 18 probands with knee osteoarthritis in the second degree were obtained. These probands were divided into two groups - the experimetal group (including those who have taken Proenzi 3 plus) and the control group (including those who have taken placebo). With all the pacients the input clinical examination and the medical history were done. Probands had been using these preparations for twelve weeks. After this time, the changes in the subjective perception using the WOMAC test and reological changes in the joint were evaluated, using a special knee rheometer. Results: The results of objectively measured parameters clearly proved that the Proenzi 3 plus has a positive effect on the rheological properties of the knee osteoarthritis. The experimental group had a statistically significant improvement in both of these parameters, as opposed to the control group. Concerning...

Use of biochemical markers (Lipoprotein phospholipase A2 and hyaluronic acid) for laboratory diagnosis of metabolic and degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system Abstract Musculoskeketal disorders currently belong to the most common diseases. The presented work describes the use of biochemical markers (Lipoprotein phospholipase A2 and hyaluronic acid) for laboratory diagnosis of metabolic and degenerative diseases of the musculoskeletal system. Concentrations of LP-PLA2 were significantly elevated in the patients with bone resorption compared to the control group of healthy individuals. Serum levels of Lp-PLA2 also negatively correlated with decreased levels of serum osteocalcin in patients. HA concentrations in synovial fluid did not differ from published reference values in synovial fluid. Patients who underwent arthroscopy had significantly elevated synovial HA concentration than patients who underwent total knee endoprosthesis. HA positively correlates with osmotic pressure determined by examination of osmolality in synovial fluid. Lipoprotein phospholipase A2 concentrations are elevated in patients with bone density impairment. LpPLA2 concentrations correlate with the severity of bone density impairment expressed by the T score. Hyaluronic acid concentrations in patients with knee...

Effects of rehabilitation methods on the course of knee osteoarthritis
Novák, Dalibor ; Barna, Miloš (advisor) ; Kučera, Miroslav (referee)
Knee osteoarthritis is the most often form of the progressive degenerative injury called osteoarthritis, which signifies the most widely extended knuckle disability all over the world. And so it turns into a serious healthy and social-economic problem. Besides the symptomatic treatment of pain, the effort of contemporary therapy is to affect those processes, which lead to osteoarthritis morphological progression. The medical treatment should be carried out preferably at total range and with rehabilitation as its integral part. This report sums up many till now published knowledge above knee osteoarthritis itself and above its treatment processes, primarily in case of use some rehabilitation methods, and offers some information above evaluation effect of therapeutical processes for course of this disorder.
