Resume Rendition of public services within integrated transport systems The purpose of my thesis is study of public transportation as a public service, which is provided in integrated transport systems. The thesis is composed of eight chapters and introduction. It introduces in with brief story to the subject of thesis and defines key terms for this thesis. First chapter does not focus on public transportation, but it looks at public service generally. It mentions important kinds of public service in western culture and deals with some of examples in the Czech Republic. Second chapter presents key terms. In first sub chapter term is public transportation. It includes historical development of public transportation and its current situation. Second sub chapter contains development of transit districts around the world and in the Czech Republic. Integrated transport system is also known as transport district or passenger transport executive. In Czech name "Integrovaný dopravní systém"is used, which stands for integrated transportation system. Last sub chapter is about such system in Prague, capital of the Czech Republic, which is called Prague integrated transport (PIT). Bus transportation in Prague and outskirts

The diploma thesis deals with the bus transportation in Prague and surrounding areas in the Central Region. It compares the Prague integrated transport system and Central integrated transport system. It deals with the question whether the use of two unrelated integrated transport systems is efficient on the same route and whether bus transportation is operated efficiently in selected region Praha - Neratovice. The survey of utilization is accompanied by information about carriers that perform bus transport in selected region, and information about their fleet. The aim of the thesis is assesing current situation, pointing out the differences between integrated transport systems and designing alternative solution.

The Future of the Masaryk Railway Station in Prague

The main objective of this thesis is to answer the question of the suitable future use of Masaryk Railway Station in Prague from many aspects. The theoretical part of thesis is dealing with the history of railways in Prague and the Station. Then it is explained the principle of the integrated transport systems and the inclusion of the railways as the spinal transport for suburban transport. In the analytical part, there is briefly introduced the cause of the Station future and then this question is evaluated by three disciplines. These are methods of city logistics, urban solutions and the significance of the Station from the cultural point of view.

Analysis of integrated public transport systems, Brno and Bratislava

This bachelor thesis is focused on the integrated public transport systems in Brno and Bratislava. The theoretical part explains the basic terms, what should help the reader to better understand how the integrated public transport systems operate. The practical part consists of the history of public transportation in both cities, then the history of integrated public transport systems, in which cities are involved and finally how both of the systems operate. In the conclusion, both systems are compared to each other.

Public transport in Switzerland with the intention of canton Zurich and comparison with PIT

The main goal of the thesis is an analysis of Swiss public transport with the intention of transport integrated system of canton Zurich and transport integrated system of Prague and their comparison. The first part of the thesis is focused on definition and characteristics of public transport and transport integrated systems. Detailed are mentioned history, statistics, organization and economics of both transport integrated systems. On theoretical basics the thesis compares some parameters of both transport systems. The thesis brings the results of the comparison of public transport of two areas, which are different from the economical and historical point of view.

The subject matter of the theoretical part is the description of city public transport and its history, priorities used in public transport, tariffs and spatial distribution as well as integrated transport systems and vehicles used in public transport. The aim of the practical part is to closely examine public transport systems of individual cities, confront it from several points of view taking into consideration the exploitation and distribution of lines for different means of transport (tram, bus, trolleybus, metro). The cities investigated are Prague, Amsterdam and Budapest.

This bachelor work deals with integrated transport systems. In the first part of the work is determined by the basic methodology and attention is paid mainly the importance and the current issues of integrated transport systems. The practical part of the work explores the integrated transport systems to in the environs of Olomouc and Hradec Kralove. The analysis of systems are made on the basis of comparison.

Analysis of integrated transport systems in big cities

V diplomové práci se zabývám integrovanými dopravními systémy velkých měst. V první části mapuji problematiku integrovaných dopravních systémů obecně. Poté uvádím několik příkladů ze zahraničí a podrobněji se věnuji pražské integrované dopravě. V praktické části práce provádím srovnání pražského a mnichovského integrovaného dopravního systému v oblastech územního rozsahu dopravní sítě, tarifu a jízdného, délek tratí a linek a dopravních výkonů. Pomocí SWOT analýzy hodnotím silné a slabé stránky, hrozby a příležitosti pro pražskou integrovanou dopravu. Výsledkem mé práce jsou doporučení a návrhy možností dalšího rozvoje Pražského integrovaného dopravního systému.
