Financial Stability Issues and Stress Testing of the Insurance Sector

The purpose of this thesis is to provide an overview of risk and vulnerabilities for financial stability of the European Insurance sector. The methods and principles of risk assessment are examined, as well as their application for the insurance sector. The current macroeconomic situation and its impact on insurers' financial stability is described. Downward changes of interest rates are identified as the biggest current risk. This results from a system-wide stress test conducted by EIOPA (European Insurance and Occupational Pensions Authority), analysis of sensitivities published by several big European Insurers published on a yearly basis and finally from an econometric analysis of the relationship between market data and changes in macroeconomic variables. Property insurance of residents of Ukraine in comparison to the Czech republic

The aim of the thesis is to analyse property insurance in the Ukrainian insurance market and to compare it with the property products offered by the insurer in the territory of the Czech republic. The thesis is divided into four basic parts. Firstly, it characterizes the economic and political situation in Ukraine, and then the insurance market and, above all, property insurance products. In the second part, the thesis deals with the analysis of two selected insurers operating in the Ukrainian market and the products offered by them. In the end, the thesis deals with the comparison of economic indicators, the insurance market and the property insurance market in the Czech Republic and Ukraine. The main purpose of the work is the provision of comprehensive information about the insurance market in Ukraine with an emphasis on property insurance.

The analysis of insurance covering the inability to pay off liabilities in the Czech insurable market

The bachelor thesis deals with the inability to pay up debts on the Czech insurance companies market. It briefly gives information about the Czech insurable market, defines terms as insurance risks, an inability to pay up and standards methods of its coverage. Then the thesis moves on the insurance covering the inability to pay off liabilities, its history, current situation and focus. The main goal of the thesis is to provide enough information about the insurance companies offering this product on the Czech market, focused in detail on Pojišťovna Cardif Pro Vita. The practical part that is also important should introduces us the issue of the amount of an insurance premium charged by different financial institutions providing that insurance.
