Regular variation and its applications
Ženatá, Kamila ; Opluštil, Zdeněk (referee) ; Řehák, Pavel (advisor)
This barchelor thesis deals with concept of regular vaiation and its applications in various areas of mathematics. The thesis provides an overview of the basic properties of regularly varying functions, related concepts and specific applications of the findings in differential equations and infinite series.
Nekonečné funkční řady a jejich aplikace
STUDENÁ, Lucie
The Theses deals with infinite function series, mainly its special type power series, and their applications. The introduction of the Theses summrizes history of infinity series from Archimedes to modern mathematicians. The first part of the Theses, which is more theoretical, concerns with convergence of function series and attributes of convergence, derivation and integration term by term, algebraic operations of power series and also representation of functions by Taylor series. The second part deals with mathematical applications of power series calculation of function values, determination of limits, calculation of integrals and also power series solutions to first and second order ordinary differential equations.
Series
VEJMELKA, Radek
This thesis is conceived as a learning text, which deals with infinite numerical series. The thesis thematicaly results from curriculum for lectures of fourth therm's analysis for field called "Pedagogy of mathematics for secondary schools" on Pedagogical faculty by University of South Bohemia. It contains theoretical interpretation of basic concepts and theorems about infinite series, including of proofs of shown theorems, plenty of solved excersises, which show aplication of these concepts and theorems, and collection of excercises to study indipendently as well.
