This paper considers adaptive players who individually learn to play a repeated normal-form game, and analyzes how the players´ performance is affected by two assumptions: 1) the players are not myopic in calculating their payoffs; 2) the players realize that their environment is not stationary, and learn to categorize the states of the environment.
