Saga of the Dvořák's family

This bachelor thesis deals with the Dvořáks family, a famous Czech line of luthiers, and with the development of violin making in Czech countries in general. The texts is divided into three chapters. The core of the work is the second chapter, dedicated to all four members of the Dvořáks luthier family. The first part describes historical development and tradition of violin making in our country. At the same time, it attempts to clarify the sources of the Dvořáks work, what they followed, what they left to their descendants and what was their influence on contemporary violin making. The last chapter explains the correlation of the art of violin making with the art of interpretation and shows that there is a close connection between them. The aim of the work is to stress the fact that violin making is a valid and valuable art which was brough to the highest level by our luthiers.

This master´s thesis deals with violin making in general. First part ius focused on a rise of violin and its predecessors. The second part about violin making. In this part of thesis you can find general methods how violin makers usually work. The third part introduces a history of violin making, violin makers in Czech Republik and in Europe since his rise till present.European history of violin making is divided into single ( e.g.Italian violin makers, French violin makers etc.).The next chapter relates about social and politician situation in Czech during 19th century, which influenced the cultural and music life. The violin makers too. The second half of master´s thesis contents a life and art of dynasty of Dvořák´s violin makers. They were four. Each has his own chapter, where you can find their brief curriculum vitae and the art of each for sure.

The topic of this bachelor disertation is the "Dynasty of Špidlens " - violin makers". The disertation is divided into three chapters. The first chapter is dedicated to the beginnings of violin makers in Europe. This chapter is divided to smaller subchapters in accordance to the described territories. The second chapter is about beginnings of violin makers in czech country. More important dynasties have their own subchapters. In the third chapter, the dynasty of Špidlen is introduced. To each one from the dynasty, one individual subchapter is dedicated.
Violin Making in Brno

The bachelor work deals with the Brno violin makers. In the first chapter I am presenting the history of Brno musical culture. In the second chapter I am focusing on general development of instrument making in our country. The third chapter deals with the violin makers working in Brno since the mid - 17th century. The chapter is followed by the fourth one, where the contemporary Brno violin maker´s families are being discussed. The work is supplemented with the pictures of the musical instruments coming from the Brno violin markers.,
