Aerodynamic design of transonic UAV glider
Kóňa, Marián ; Pejchar, Jan (referee) ; Zikmund, Pavel (advisor)
This master thesis is focused on aerodynamic design of transonic glider, which is assigned for following an airliner at cruising regime of flight. Main goal of the thesis is to determine basic geometrical design of airplane with respect to Whitcomb aera rule, mass analysis and drag polar. Weight analysis includes determining center of gravity according to longitudinal static stability margin. The drag polar of the airplane is determine for cruising regime of flight, that means the regime of following an airliner.
Conceptual design of competition model airplane
Pospíšil, Jakub ; Vaněk, František (referee) ; Hájek, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the conceptual design of a competition model of an aircraft for an international student competition. The introduction deals with the rules of the competition and their subsequent analysis. The research part deals with a possible concept of the aircraft from the point of view of various configurations of individual parts of the model. In the practical part, the characteristics of individual parts of the aircraft are processed and a mass analysis is performed.
Design of VUT 081 Kondor aeroplane in double-fuselage variant
Suk, Filip ; Vaněk, František (referee) ; Píštěk, Antonín (advisor)
The aim of the diploma thesis is to determine loads of the empennages and the engine mount for the engine ROTAX 912iS of the VUT 081 Kondor aircraft. Further the thesis deals with a design of a stabilizer and of beams of empennage with fins. I also present a design of mountings for beams to the center wing box. The design is presented with regard to CS-VLA regulations and the ELSA regulation for modular construction.
Electrically powered plane conceptual design
Ševčík, Igor ; Sklenář, Filip (referee) ; Popela, Robert (advisor)
The master’s thesis deals with conceptual design of a new electrically powered aircraft as assignment for Evektor, s.r.o. company. In the first part of thesis there is more detailed elaboration of small aircraft statistics and their comparison. Thesis then concentrates on assigned parameters and requirements for design. Next section continues with the most important part of thesis, which is optimization of wing used for aircraft design and also analysis of its characteristics. The problematics of preliminary verification of flight performances as well as aircraft dimension design and follow-up weight analysis with consideration of power cells placement is described thereafter. A few different flight configurations is taken into consideration within weight analysis. Final part contains evaluation of optimization and design process.
Proposal for the use of the Z 143 Lsi aircraft for aerobatic operation
Hub, Pavel ; Juračka, Jaroslav (referee) ; Píštěk, Antonín (advisor)
This master thesis deals with the impact of given construction changes on the Zlín Aircraft Z 143 Lsi aircraft, the purpose of which is to enable the aircraft to operate in the aerobatic category in accordance with FAR-23 certification guidelines. An important part of the thesis is the definition of permitted flight configurations with respect to the aircrafts´ structural strength limits and flight performance. Furthermore, impact of these changes on flight within the normal and utility categories is investigated. An overview of neccessary certification procedures is provided as well. The goal of the thesis is to supply the company with relevant technical documentation to decide on adequacy of the concept.
Design of light four-seater aircraft
Mikulášek, Miloš ; Vaněk, František (referee) ; Píštěk, Antonín (advisor)
This master‘s thesis is focused on the design of four-seat metal aircraft with low take-off weight in accordance with CS-23. Main dimensions of aircraft are designed, weight analysis, aerodynamic characteristics and flight performance are calculated in this thesis. In conclusion, the estimated costs of development and production are determined.
