Speech segmentation
Andrla, Petr ; Míča, Ivan (referee) ; Sysel, Petr (advisor)
The programme for the segmentation of a speech into fonems was created as a part of the master´s thesis. This programme was made in the programme Matlab and consists of several scripts. The programme serves for automatic segmentation. Speech segmentation is the process of identifying the boundaries between phonemes in spoken natural languages. Automatic segmentation is based on vector quantization. In the first step of algorithm, feature extraction is realized. Then speech segments are assigned to calculated centroids. Position where centroid is changed is marked as a boundary of phoneme. The audiorecords were elaborated by the programme and a operation of the automatic segmentation was analysed. A detailed manual was created to the programme too. Individual used methods of the elaboration of a speech were in the master´s thesis briefly descripted, its implementations in the programme and reasons of set of its parameters.

Automatic Recognition of Logopaedic Defect in Speech Utterances
Dušil, Lubomír ; Atassi, Hicham (referee) ; Smékal, Zdeněk (advisor)
The thesis is aimed at an analysis and automatic detection of logopaedic defects in speech utterance. Its objective is to facilitate and accelerate the work of logopaedists and to increase percentage of detected logopaedic defects in children of the youngest possible age followed by the most successful treatment. It presents methods of speech work, classification of the defects within individual stages of child development and appropriate words for identification of the speech defects and their subsequent remedy. After that there are analyses of methods of calculating coefficients which reflect human speech best. Also classifiers which are used to discern and determine whether it is a speech defect or not. Classifiers exploit coefficients for their work. Coefficients and classifiers are being tested and their best combination is being looked for in order to achieve the highest possible success rate of the automatic detection of the speech defects. All the programming and testing jobs has been conducted in the Matlab programme.
Russian vowel system in comparison with Czech
Hušek, Jan ; Nazarenko, Liliya (advisor) ; Žofková, Hana (referee)
The aim of the bachelor's thesis is to compare the articulation and distribution of Czech and Russian vowels and on the basis of differences devise a suitable way of articulation of Russian vowels for Czech learners. The thesis is divided into two parts; the first one describes the articulation of vowels, the differences in quality and quantity in both languages and quality changes caused by suprasegmental language units with an accent on reductions of the 1st and 2nd degree in Russian. The second part offers a system of phonetic exercises designed in order to improve the articulation of Russian vowels which is primarily intended for Czech pupils. Key words phonetics, phonology, speech sounds, vowel

Linguistic analysis of baroque text
HIPSKÁ, Petra
The main topic of this bachelor{\crq}s thesis with the name Language analysis of the Baroque text is the analysis of the syntactic level of the Baroque sermon Medotekoucí sláva na hůře Libanu (Fame on Liban Mountain), written by Karel Václav Černý. In the shorter part, Phonic changes, I focus on phenomena differing from the present Czech language. The concern is mainly writing some phones. Moreover I deal with the syntactic level of the text. I devote my attention to relationships of co-ordination and dominance. In case of co-ordination relationship I follow which relations appear among the main clauses, subordinate clauses and sentence parts. In the part devoted to relationship of domination I devote my attention to individual parts of sentence. I focus my attention also on the kinds of subordinate clauses. My thesis does not bring the exhausting information, as there remain many phenomena in the text not sufficiently treated here.
