Incidents and injuries during parkour classes in parkour gyms

Title: Incidents and injuries during parkour classes in parkour gyms. Goals: The aim of this work is to find out and compare the rate of injuries in guided parkour lessons in In Motion Academy s.r.o. and other sports. Methods: Quantitative analysis of data from the book of injuries issued by individual branches of the company In Motion Academy s.r.o. from the school years 2016/17 to 2018/19 and their subsequent statistical processing. Use of the NACA scoring system to assess the severity of injuries. The research group consists of visitors of lessons of different sex, age groups from 6-45 years and with different levels of skills and fitness. Results: During the periods 2016/19 and 2017/19 in In Motion Academy s.r.o. a total of 103,985 hours of parkour training were taught. Total of 179 injuries were recorded, and the injury rate per 1,000 hours of activity was 1,721. The most critical age category in IMA is adolescents and adults with an injury rate of 2,022, which is also the lesson with the highest severity score of 1,74. On the other hand, the junior lessons proved to be the least risky 1,777 and the lessons with less severity of injuries is Benjamin 1,43. Programmatic systems of selected techniques in the parkour

Title: Programmatic systems of selected techniques in the parkour Goals: The aim of this work is describe of selected techniques in parkour and to register their training exercises. Methods: For the creation a set of exercises was used especially observation method for four years period of time. The monitored subjects were coaches ,their students and also individidual traceurs men and women agend 8-45 years, different level of physical fitness. These subjects participated in guided lessons, workshops, unorganized training, multi- day events and internatinal events. Based on observation of coach teaching and learing process, the method or the results of the performance of their students, a detailed description of the techniques and a set of training exercises was created. Results: In total, five selected techniques were analyzed and twenty-five training exercises were registred. Techniques and training exercises are captured in the form of photographs. Socio-economic profile of a parkour runner

Title: Socio-economic profile of a parkour runner Goals: Goal of this bachelor thesis is to specify socio-economic profile of a parkour runner in Czech Republic Methods: Socio-economic profile of parkour runners (traceurs) was created by polling using questionnaires (both printed and electronic). Participants answered 23 questions. Majority (20) questions were of closed type, 3 were open questions. Collected data were quantified as frequency or stated as percentage. Microsoft Excel was used to create charts to present results in easy to read visual form. Results: Survey was taken by total of 145 participants. The group structure is as follows. Men to women ratio is 12:1. Average age of all polled runners was 18 years and 4 months. On average, Czech kids begin training around thirteen years of age, being in eight grade of elementary school. Vast majority (83%) of parkour runners are students, only 17% being employed. Only 37% of participants are members of some group or organization. Corresponding with the average age, most participants (34%) claimed gross monthly income below 3000 CZK. Most (33%) traceurs spend between 1000-3000 CZK on parkour equipment annually.
