Case Study of Physiotherapeutic Care for a Patient after Stroke with Left-Sided Hemiparesis
Dvorská, Kateřina ; Novotná, Irena (advisor) ; Křížková, Štěpánka (referee)
v Abstract Author: Kateřina Dvorská Title: Case study of physiotherapeutic care for a patient after stroke with left-sided hemiparesis Objective: Acquisition and processing of theoretical knowledge about stroke. Further development of a case study of a patient after stroke with left-sided hemiparesis, including own examination, subsequent therapy proposal, and its practical implementation. Methods: This bachelor thesis is divided into two parts - general and special. The general part offers the theoretical description of the disease, its examination, and selected physiotherapeutic procedures. Information provided for this part was retrieved from textbooks, studies, and scientific literature. Special part includes a case study of a patient after stroke with left-sided hemiparesis, which contains medical history, initial kinesiological analysis, ten therapeutic units, and a final kinesiological analysis. To conclude the special part, there is an evaluation of the therapy's effectiveness, a discussion comparing the methods used in therapy and their results with information from relevant research articles. Results: During the therapy, gradual improvement in the patient's condition was observed. Thanks to the progress in mobility of the left upper and lower extremities, there were significant improvements in...
Microaneurysms and hemorrhages detection in retinal images
Tobiášová, Nela ; Štohanzlová, Petra (referee) ; Kolář, Radim (advisor)
Diabetic retinopathy is a serious eye complication of diabetes mellitus and one of the major causes of blindness in the world. The microaneurysms and the haemorrhages are the pathologies of diabetic retinopathy. Their detection can halt or reverse the progression of this disease and prevent blindness. The algorithms could be helpful to ophthalmologists. This bacherol’s thesis is concerned with the detection of microaneurysms and haemorrhages in fundus images. The diabetic retinopathy, the types of lesions and the treatment methods are described in the first part of the paper. Existing methods are described as follows. The practical part of this work is aimed at the proposal and the detection of the red lesions. It consists of several steps, such as selecting the correct channel of RGB images, using local methods of contrast enhancement, edge detection, thresholding, creating a training set of the feature vector and the classification with the use of the neutral network.
Tool for Detection and Correction of Images with Diseased Eye Retinas
Jochlík, Jakub ; Semerád, Lukáš (referee) ; Drahanský, Martin (advisor)
Loss or partial loss of eye sight can have major effect on quality of person's life. One of the most common diseases, which causes loss or partial loss of eye sight are diabetic retinopathy and age releated macular degeneration. Both of these diseases can be prevented or mediated by early detection and proper treatment. The fundus camera, which is used to capture eye retina, has had major effect on increasing quality and speed of early detection. Images captured by fundus camera can be automatically analyzed in order to detect any possible signs of retina damage. This thesis proposes one possible way of automating this process. First part of this thesis describes eye, its diseases and capturing technology. Second part then proposes way of automating detection process and its implementation. Lastly, the results are evaluated.

Title: Case Study of physiotherapy treatment of a patient after brain stroke Objective: Gain a theoretical knowledge about etiology, clinical symptoms, stages of disease, localization of haemorrhage and the following therapeutic methods. Method: The general part of the bachelor thesis contains theoretical knowledge about etiology, clinical symptoms, stages of disease, localization of haemorrhage and the following therapeutic methods. The practical part contains casuistry of the patient after the brain vascular stroke. Results: Light improvement of motivity and walk stability. During the therapy came to connection affected extremity to complex moves and symetric loading of lower extremities. Conclusion: Indication of physiotherapy of a patient after appeared highly active in the way of whole state health improvement. Ballýová, Monika ; Kozáková, Alena (advisor) ; Štiková, Barbora (referee)
Title: Case study physiotherapy treatment of a patient after intracranial hemorrhage Target: The target of this bachelor's thesis is a summary of theoretical knowlegde about the issue of stroke and case report of physiotherapy treatment of patients after intracranial hemorrhage. Method: The bachelor's thesis is divided into two parts. In the general part deals with the theoretical knowledge of strokes, including the question of prevention. In the general part is well informed about the rehabilitaion of neurogically ill patients. In the special part of the thesis is a acse report of pateint care. There is an input kinesiology analysis on the basis of the determined short-term and long-term physiotherapy plan. The following are recorded all therapeutic units that patient has. Base on the output kinesiological analysis of the effect therapy was evaluated. Case report has been prepared in the course of continunous practice in the Regional Hospital in Kladno during the 6th - 31st January 2014. Key words: stroke, hemorrhage, physiotherapy, case study
