Motivation to graffiti Creation and view of Society of these Problems
HAZUKOVÁ, Michaela
In the theoretical part of the work there is given the term motivation besides I devote my attention to performance on the basis of Maslow?s need hierarchy. Then there is a definition of subculture and specification of the term graffiti. I work on the contemporary as well as historical development in Bohemia and in the world. I explain specific expressions for the given subculture and, last but not least, I pay attention to behaviour of sprayers within the framework of the low order of the Czech Republic. The target of the research work is to find it what are the essential and strongest reasons for graffiti creations and what opinion of sprayers performance our society has. For realisation of the research work I took a quality type of research , i.e. a method of inquiry and a technique of halfdirected interviews. The research has held in České Budějovice in the period from January to March 2011. I chose the method of snowball sampling for choosing or respondents. I asked eleven respondenst from whom seven ones were willing to participate in the research. The sprayers aged from eighteen to thirty-three formed a research group No 1. There were realized interviews each of which lasted at least one and half hour. Next seventy respondents in the ages of sixteen to fifty-five years formed another supplementary group No 2. These were asked to fill in a short questionnaire. All the respondents live in České Budějovice or in its near surroundings. The results of the research showed that following reasons motivate the sprayers to their activity: their personal interest in arts and any activity joined with them, expressing their emotions, a possibility of shocking obtaining respect , to realize their imagination, to express them selves freely and lastly it is adrenalin and adventure that follow especially illegal graffiti creation. The introduced bachelor work can be used in institutions working with subcultures and problematic youth. I can be used in question of prevention, as well. This work is especially devoted to those who want to understand the activity and expressing of sprayers.

Social work with non-conformal subculture members {--} sprayers in České Budějovice
JERSÁKOVÁ, Klára
Graffiti is often discussed and medialised phenomenon at present days. A sprayer is usually presented as a young member of graffiti subculture who realises his need of adrenalin in this way and quite often connected to other pathological phenomena such as deliquency or drug use. In the work I focus on explaining the meaning of ``subculture``and its origin and function. I also try to understand and deepen knowledge of graffiti from art and pathological aspects. Motivation of graffiti production forms the basis of the work. The aim of the work is to describe and map out the sprayer subculture in České Budějovice in the framework of preventive and repressive measures. A qualitative methods of structured interview and observation are used in the research. It is completed with a secondary data analysis based on literature. The aimed group consists of sprayers in České Budějovice and they are chosen through the snowball technique. The complementary group consists of professionals who are in contact with sprayers. The hypotheses, due to the qualitative research, were stated on the results. The conclusion is that the basic motivation of graffiti production is the need of self-expression and self-determination. The fact that the group provides these people with confidence and friendly relations plays an enormous role. Social pathology is not necessarily connected with graffiti. To understand motivation and experience of the sprayers is a cornerstone of the work. It could help better understanding between sprayers and repressive bodies. A man should know at least a bit about the facts before he presents his mostly negative verdicts.
