Theoretical conceptions of Czechoslovak transformation: Factors that influenced the creation of transformation strategy

The bachelor thesis Theoretical conceptions of Czechoslovak transformation: Factors that influenced the creation of transformation strategy focuses on the Czechoslovak economic transformation in the early 1990s and describes the process of creating the Czechoslovak transformation strategy. The thesis answers the question of whether the selected topics and their discussions conducted on the pages of the scientific journal Politická ekonomie were reflected in the final transformation strategy and the implemented reform measures between the years 1991-93. The topics of labor productivity and economic growth, imbalance, price system and price liberalization were chosen for the analysis. First, the thesis focuses on the descriptive analysis of the journal's articles from 1989-93 that discuss selected topics, and maps in detail the development of their content and the opinions of their authors. In the following chapter, the thesis compares findings from the descriptive analysis with measures presented in the final Czechoslovak transformation scenario and with the practical policy in 1991-93. Importance and development of Chienese renminbi ceonvertibility

The subject of this diploma thesis is the analysis of the importance and development of Chinese renminbi convertibility. The paper describes the development of the yuan exchange rate, whose value is still largely decided by the PBOC. It also seeks to identify the growing role of the renminbi on the international scene despite its financial account that is still not completely liberalized. Last but not least, the Chinese trilemma is described here, with the renminbi convertibility being an integral part of this issue. Once China decides to solve the trilemma, one of the possible outcomes is the full renminbi convertibility. The paper also tries to identify the possible impacts that would occur in the event of the full renminbi convertibility.

Does the speed of transition impact tourism in post-communist countries?

The topic of the bachelor thesis is "Does the speed of transition impact tourism in post-communist countries?" The goal of the thesis is to show the historical development of tourism industry in post-soviet countries, during the Soviet Union and after it until nowadays. In my case the focus is on the country called Georgia, because it was one of the most important touristic areas from the all USSR countries and it still has a big potential to develop further. For the end, with the help of different indicators, data and statistical researches, I will show the institutional changes in the country. The period during the USSR, later after the crash of it till 2003, and from 2003 post Rose Revolution period till nowadays. Impact on tourism development was mainly positive and lots of changes occurred that needs to be understood.

Transformation Strategies of Czechoslovakia, 1989-1993

Cílem práce je zaměřit se na v historii České republiky ojedinělý a neopakovatelný úsek, kterým je přechod z centrálně - direktivně - paternalisticky řízené společnosti na společnost svobodnou, tržně konformní. Práce se zabývá otázkami, zda měla ČR postupovat v transformaci jinak, jak tvrdí mnozí odborníci, zda to skutečně šlo, a zda by jiná cesta transformace ovlivnila její průběh a následně i hospodářské postavení naší země. Práce konfrontuje různé návrhy transformačních strategií a doporučení, hodnotí jejich ?reálnost? a jejich možné dopady, pokud by byly v transformaci uskutečněny. V průběhu této konfrontace jsou v práci nejen porovnávána a představována jednotlivá doporučení ekonomů, sociologů a dalších odborníků, kteří o dané problematice diskutují, ale i srovnávány konkrétní kroky v jednotlivých transformujících se zemích.

Přínosy a rizika akonomické transformace v Číně

Téma diplomové práce zní ?Přínosy a rizika ekonomické transformace v Číně?. V první části práce je zpracována problematika ekonomické transformace obecně s důrazem na problematiku dvou různých přístupů k transformaci. Na rozdílech obou přístupů je založena i hypotéza. Právě průběh transformace v Číně má prokázat relevanci druhého z přístupů, který byl ze začátku transformace menšinovým pohledem. Práce také analyzuje současnou ekonomickou situaci v Číně s důrazem na některé makroekonomické ukazatele. V praktické části je na vývoji v Číně prokázána relevance druhého z přístupů k problematice transformace. Závěrečná kapitola shrnuje přínosy a rizika ekonomické transformace v Číně vyplývajících z uvedených analýz.
